A "what would you do" thread for those who own one or both of these pieces!

I purchased both a JUC and a Love (YG in both) pre-increase and am planning to keep only one, but am having so much trouble deciding! The Love was my first...well, love, and I have wanted it forever. But, as I mentioned in other threads, my husband finds it very unsafe (due to the rare possibility that I ever get mugged and have a piece of jewelry literally screwed onto my wrist). I love the JUC as well, though it is definitely edgier. Also, I can remove it myself.

But is the JUC a piece that will always be classic, as is the Love? Would you wear the JUC 24/7 with every outfit? I feel like it stands out a bit more than the Love, though it is also less identifiable as a Cartier piece.

Whatever piece I still with, I plan to wear 24/7 and for many, many years. I intend to pass this piece along to my future daughter and would like it to be something she will love as much as I do now.

So which one should I keep?

Why choose? Keep both ;-) Wear the one you want depending on your mood or stack them they look awesome together. Btw, you can unscrew/screw the Love yourself with a little bit of practice...

My vote is for the juc

the love is more widely known and also faked (downside), it is also more classic.... the JUC is edgier and less well known (pro or con?)...I guess it depends on your style! :D

I think the love is definitely more a forever piece that will really stand the test of time . That being said ... My husband is very fond of the love pieces and prior to buying me the bracelet he chose one for his platinum wedding band ages ago...so it would be tough if he didn't love it as well for it to be as meaningful of a gift from dh. So if you can't keep both just go with your heart !

Thank you all for the thoughtful responses!

I actually think I like that the JUC is less well known as I see a LOT of Loves around (especially at the gym!), but how do I determine if I am cool enough to rock a JUC :graucho:

I have both, but if I could only have one, it would be the Love.

Is there ANY chance of DH letting you keep both? Trust me, I KNOW it's a lot of $.

I would hoping you would chime in because I know you have (and adore) both pieces! I am so tempted to keep both and just stick one in bank until I can give it to myself for another big birthday down the line. Especially with the price increase! It is SO much money though...way more than I feel comfortable spending. I could, but I'm not sure if I will look back and regret putting such a chunk towards two Cartier bracelets? Then again, I haven't seen a single post here in which someone regretting their Love OR their JUC.

lanasyogamama-- do you find that the nail head of the JUC leaves a little impression in your arm? I currently have a 15 (and a 16 Love) and it is comfortable and not tight. The only place that seems a little off is right on the nail head as it presses slightly on my arm. I just love the look of the JUC on...

Yes, you hit the nail (not the JUC) on the head! I think I would keep the Love, without question, if my husband were comfortable with it. And he would never tell me NOT to wear something or buy something I loved, but I think I feel less certain about the Love knowing that he isn't 100% on board. It is a big purchase, you know?

If you really can't keep both, go for the Love, a real statement piece. The only downside of the Love IMO is that it screams Cartier!

That it does! But it is so fabulous...

I would go with juc, edgier, newer, less people have it. But that's my opinion. You have to choose the one that YOU cant live without;)

I definitely like those reasons for sticking with the JUC. I think I would end being obsessed with either one, but I have just always wanted the Love and the JUC is a much newer discovery so I may not have the same level of obsession for it yet. But that isn't to say that I wouldn't end up loving it more than a Love.

Definitely the love

I adore my JUC as well but the love is classic

Great advice, livethelake! Classic versus edgy...

At the end of the day, this is a great problem to have. I know I will love one of them, just wish my gut was pointing me firmly in one direction.

Thanks, everyone!

HMMM. This one is SO TOUGH.

I hate to think of you wearing something that will have your DH worried.

My JUC doesn't leave a mark unless I sleep on it or something.

I do love the edginess of the JUC. And there are so many things you could pair with it eventually.

I understand what you mean about not obsessing as long. I honestly got mine VERY spur of the moment. No regrets at all though.

Keep us posted.

Definitely the Love. The JUC has grown on me but I think it will date as it is more edgy versus classic (imo). The Love also goes with pretty much everything.

OR, how about returning your classic Love bangle and getting the cuff instead? That might help put your husband's mind at rest as at least (god forbid) if anything happened the cuff can be removed easily. You can also remove it yourself whenever you want.

I was in this predicament as well over Christmas. My husband bought me the love as that is what I've always wanted. But when I went into cartier to exchange the size I saw the JUC in person and love it too. My husband said I could exchange the love for the clou if I wanted to, but ultimately I decided to stick with the love. I don't regret my decision but I still want the clou at some point. If you've always wanted the love I say pick it
