Yesterday, Ramesh shared a picture of the trimmings they use on their passementerie straps. I thought they were made in-house but apparently they are from Declercq Passementiers, who specialize in these sort of things. Kind of like how Hermès collaborated with Maison Lemarié to supply them with feathers for the Feather Kellys.

And they come in other colors, too. (that magenta/anemone Diane looks interesting)

So I guess if you don't like the current passementerie strap offerings of JD, you can go to Declercq Passementiers website, look at their catalog, see what you like and ask JD if they can use that instead.
Wow, I love these colors, and I am a black/grey kind of girl. I would guess this means we will be getting new straps from JD this year?

Most probably, yes. To my knowledge this is the first time they invited and showcased Declercq Passementiers in their event, which to me means an expanded range of the Passementerie straps.

The future looks exciting :yahoo:

The nano Diane with the scaled down-skinny hardware is 5,200 euros… in tempo leather!! You can get a full sized Diane in Harmonie leather for €400 more! Maybe it’s just me but the price seems way, way off.

As a micro person, I get it. Slightly less materials, but actually putting it together can be more challenging due to the compact size. That said, not going to be something I'm willing to buy sight unseen.

Exactly this.

Also, we all remember basic economics lessons, the small peanut butter always costs more per ounce than the large, lol

I totally understand the difficulties faced when constructing miniature versions. My collection is mostly tiny bags- there’s some Mini Kelly, Nano Rejane, Micro Tempete, Micro Lady Dior among a few others.

Going by my memory the majority of my micro versions cost around 2k USD less than their regular sized versions. Upon checking Kelly 25 vs mini has a 2k price difference. Rejane BB vs nano little over 2k also.

I have two Diane L20(Heritage leather) in my collection. My last Diane cost 5.5k euros - less than a year ago. Now for a micro Diane in lower quality Tempo leather, with less hardware, the price is 5.2k. The Joseph Duclos math… just isn’t mathing for me. But then again I was never good at math:lol:

Do we know the depth and height of the new Diane 30? I'm especially interested in the depth as I'd like to understand how far out from the body the bag will be when worn crossbody. Thanks for any info available! :flowers:
I don’t know about the Diane L30, but my Fontélie is somewhat bulky when worn crossbody, and the two look comparable. The XL look works, but my bag does stick out about four inches.

Btw, the new Saint-Clair isn’t a new version of the messenger and it comes in two sizes. The above measurements are for the larger of the two sizes.
