He really does. I am not a big fan any more. I would have died for him in 1986-1992, but now I just think they are ok. I love their old stuff, as it reminds me of my friends, and going to concerts, being at the front row, and all fun things from my past... so to me this is what He and the band represent.

Ok I am actually in this video.. It was filmed at Giant Stadium in 1989.. I remember Jon saying something like... If you see a camera, smile you will be in our new video.. I am in the front row and I shook his hand during Toyko road, "nothing on but a red light".. was the highlight of my life, then.

as many of you know he's part owner of the philadelphia soul team. a few years ago he held a press conference and a mini-concert announcing his newly acquired team.
but my dear friend was always a HUGE fan and her wish was to meet him some day even many years later. knowing this i had my dh get extra tickets. we sat in the front row of his press conference with my friend and a few of our other close friends.
she also got a picture with him at the end of the night. even though he obliged my gf said he clearly didn't really want his picture taken. i assume he was tired, but she did chase him done. literally. i didn't witness this though b/c we already left.
i was just happy to give her the opportunity to be that close to him. my gf has some great pics from that night but i don't think i do.
then my hubby & i saw him perform again at the borgata in AC. we also went to an after party & he was there. my dh and jon know each other b/c my dh has a charity for inner city kids and jon is very passionate about certain projects. especially ones that involve children and giving back. he was the one who invited us to both events.
however, i wouldn't say that my husband & jon are great friends but they definitely know of each other. but sadly, not well enough to be invited to his "personal" parties and such.
