For me, JLo is a good choice. Coach wants to be considered equal to luxury bags like LV, Chanel, Prada. I think Jlo will elevate the brand while also giving it style and edge. They want to appeal to older, richer people but not veer into stodgy territory. Selena left me cold. Reminded me of the Coach teeny bopper customer of the 90s. So does all the Disney stuff- ugh. What adult woman wears that stuff? The Kaffe Fassett collab was pure genius. More please!!

The real photo.....with the Chanel flap bag that they cropped out of the pic. LOLView attachment 4605697

Which also could have belonged to the person sitting across from her.

But even if it WAS hers, do you guys really ONLY carry Coach? Since when is it required that a person ONLY wear one brand? Or unacceptable to mix a high end brand with a contemporary/affordable one?

Well I'm in my early 30s and currently out running errands in one of my 7 dark fairytale hoodies, duffle, and bag charm

I am not speaking for anyone, but I think what people mean is that in promotional material for Coach, the people are often head to toe in Coach--not mixed brands. I mean, otherwise, noone cares if anyone mixes brands.

I think you are taking your own preferences and deciding what is appropriate and not. I mean you could find several people who love the Disney items, but not the Kaffe, and vice versa. There are always things I prefer over another but that doesn't really make me feel Coach should sway with my personal preferences.

Yes, there are quite a few of us, and I might be older than you, lol! I mean, I had no affection for dalmatians, but I have 2 dinky bags that I really love!
Because those dinky bags are stinkin adorable!! Last time I was with my grandma before she passed we were rocking matching dark fairytale rogues lol. I will keep those bags forever now.

Alex was with her and he took the pic in his private jet. What I was saying is that if you do an advertisement for a brand, you should be wearing just that brand. I have nothing against mixing labels or, what I tend to do, basic affordable pieces mixed with a really nice bag.

She is just trying to be "street" but she is just another rich middle-aged lady - I dont relate.

I think she was chosen to target people like me. People who are fans of hers from the 90's - early 2000s who are now middle aged and have disposable income, but not necessarily Hermes level disposable income.

To people like me, she IS street. Yes, she's middle aged and rich NOW, but she started out as a Fly Girl on In Living Color. A STREET DANCER. Which is where people like me know her from and what we think of more when we think of her. Being middle aged doesn't mean she can't still like the "street" looks she grew up around.

Apparently Coach disagrees, since they included it in their ad campaign. At the very least they don't seem to object, even if they don't agree.

Yes, it is an interesting departure for Coach to do that. I have a feeling it won’t happen often. But who knows...
