I've been a bit addicted to Alexandre de Paris' hair accessories.... Has anyone heard of them? They are all handmade in France and to me they are just like jewelries. I sometimes just keep looking at them. Their products have been used by Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Jacquline Kennedy, Sophia Loren etc... They only have one store in the U.S. at this point.

I am glad that they have some good sale going on for their winter products (some look pretty springy!) but they must stop the free shipping thing. I clicked the button again.

I ordered two hair clips but I got the one I didn't order. I wasn't sure what to do (ship it back to France?) but the guy I spoke to told me that he would send me a correct one - and I get to keep the wrong one :yahoo: Haven't spoken French for a while. It was a good language practice opportunity as well :laugh:

I just ordered the gold dbty bracelet to stack with my Love I was shocked at how tiny it is! It's very cute but the pics on line look much more substantial! I will keep it but now am thinking of adding the blue nile bar in gold. I feel like the 3 might look good. What do u think?

I think it would be perfect! The bar is thin but because it is longer than the DBTY it will have more presence.

I love that bar bracelet. Please post pictures. I want the yellow gold one so thanks for saving some for me! I would love to see a profile picture as well.

Soooooo, I need some advice. I want a DBTY but am thinking of having one made. My jeweler quoted me $750 for a .25 F colour, VVS2 clarity, VG cut and the 18K yellow chain and bezel would be another $375. The chain he quoted me was very thick chain so if I replaced it with a thinner chain, it would be $200 less. The bezel would be thin and would slide along the chain rather than being a part of it like the Tiffany. I am thinking of purchasing a diamond through another seller but I really love my guy and will go with his diamond if it's a okay price.

You all know how much the Tiffany's DBTY cost. I know the resale is great on them and I know they are TIFFANY. A part of me can't justify the purchase.

I am usually impulsive on purchases like this. Has anyone ever felt like this? What did you decide and were you happy with your decision?

Have u seen the diamond from ur jeweller & do u like it? If u are happy with it and dont need it to be Tiffany's, i would go for the custom made one.

My DH bought a Tiffany dbty for my birthday (i hv to wait till then to wear it!) bcos i couldnt find a reliable jeweller where i live to custom make one. The workmanship of most of the local custom jewellers in my area is not on par with tiffany's workmanship so we decided to just spend a bit more and save ourselves the hassel. I'm very happy with the tiffany dbty even though it costs much more than a custom made one & i wont mind buying a second one in the future.

However, if i could hv gotten a similar, non tiffany one at a cheaper price, i would hv chosen that.

Thanks Bread! Please post pictures when you get it. My necklace would be a 10 year anniversary gift. Can't wait but I have to make a decision first. :)

ah ok so u have it already. Yeah would be hard to not wear then . Im hoping my man surprises me. He already said he doesnt want to get it for me, but with my persistence he better!

Very cute! I layer my dbty style necklace with my diamond horseshoe all the time. That rose gold arrow is super cute, love Vale!

Bringing this thread back because ineed your help deciding and I remember a lot of bluenile bracelet lovers frequenting this thread. Bluenile just came out with these cute bracelets for $150! I love all kinds of gold and can never decide. They only have yellow and white gold in the styles I am looking at though.
