Not everyone is a fan of the 25yo trophy trend. I watched a video about the wedding, and even the reporter said the only thing Bezos did right was picking an age-appropriate bride. 😂
Age appropriate is good. We all like to see that. But it's the total transformation via plastic surgery that really gives me the cringe. Bezos can find a good, beautiful, quality, highly educated women in her 40s/ 50s easily.

When a woman is SO consumed with PS, it's not about the looks anymore. It's her values and her mental stability that calls into question.

We don’t really know her. To me, she hasn’t had the best plastic surgery which is why it seems so obvious. I know many older woman who have had multiple surgeries over the years and they look great. And they are great people. This is who Bezos wants/loves. Would a wedding like that be my choice even if I had the $? Nope. But I bet it sure was fun to attend.

Aging can be difficult. She used to be an attractive woman. I just hope she isn't undergoing all those procedures just to please Bezos.
She was quite pretty without the cosmetic procedures, but being in LA and in TV news may have skewed her self-image. About twenty years ago when my daughter started college in LA, I could not get over the difference in the appearance of female news personalities there vs. what I was used to in our midwest city.

Agreed. She’s had the joker-like pull for a long time. I wonder if it was just an unfortunate procedure that she had done a while ago (ie well before this relationship) that didn’t go well. Not unlike Meg Ryan, I understand that is impossible to fix.

I would really hate for someone to make an unkind judgment about my integrity and mental health simply based upon my appearance.

maybe not mental health but judgment ...and with all that money, you'd think she would have the best PS. doctors should refuse to over-do

And I lean towards, subject to a true health risk (like your nose is going to fall off) that doesn’t involve subjective views on beauty or aging, let the person decide how they wish to present themselves to the world.

ETA: it is really interesting, right? We give women over 50 such a narrow window. Don’t try to look too young! If you must be sexy, do it in an “appropriate way”. And then, on the flip side, society takes people like Kelly McGillis to task. Lose weight! Don’t let your hair go grey! Where has your femininity gone?

It’s a real vortex. How can a person possibly feel good about themselves?

I think here PS is extreme but if that's what she wants....

Pierce Brosnan's wife was a former Miss USA or Universe when they married some thirty years ago and she was stunning. She is still a beautiful woman but has gained weight over the years like many of us, so there's the unspoken thought among some people today, "Why is he still with her?". Brosnan is apparently the opposite of Bezos.

Oh it’s more than unspoken. It seems to come up every time I see a pic of them. Meanwhile Pierce (who I am exceptionally fond of) has also been struck by the effects of time but no one asks the same about his much younger wife.

I think I've read she has a medical condition, like hypothryoidism or something, that's caused her to gain weight.
