I left the sale at 8:15 pm. I arrived at noon. And basically, the total time spent waiting on line at each different corner is 7 hours. That means I spent 1h15 actually buying.... I'm gonna go to bed. Right. Now. But it was fun after all, I met people from London, Australia, Lebanon... And I had 6 carrés 90, 1 carré vintage 70, 4 Gavroche twill, 5 bracelets. No shoes, no clothing, no gloves (but I almost did. But I didn't. Maybe I should have. Oh God, I should have!), no hats, no beach towels, no plaids... I still don't know if I'll keep everything for myself or if some of my next Xmas gifts are ready to be wrapped :p

View attachment 3571650Today was my first time at the sales and i dont think i can do this again...
Got there at 9am and finally in at 1:20pm. Then got on the Cashmere scarves line until around 2:30pm. [emoji33] Luckily i found what I was looking for, Tiger Tiger in Lavender [emoji7] Then found the cashmere jacket/sweater that i had been eyeing since summer. Then you have to get on another line to pay. It was a bit disorganized with the lines for cash payment or card. Plenty anygry folks for sure.
Overall saved 60% off retail prices [emoji2].
But that line was horrendous. There was a group of 5 that snuck into line that ended up skipping the clueless ladies behind me because they tried w/ me...i'm a NY'er so I said to them that I was not stupid in english then in French. G'luck to anybody going. You'll need patience, fully charged phone, bring lunch, snacks and water as you will be there ALL day. I left around 4:30pm.

Beautiful items!!! Sounds grueling.

Ha, I was forced to body-block a very persistent prospective line-cutter SEVERAL times. She just would not give up! I will credit her for fearlessness; she was about 5 ft tall and I'm 5'10" but she was persuaded that if she just kept trying one day she'd make it past me.

Good for you for getting what you aimed for-- but sorry it took you all day.

Anyone going tomorrow: best accidentally smart thing I did today was stuff my coat in my Longchamp. Saved me 5 min going in but probably 30 coming out.

View attachment 3571642 View attachment 3571643 My turn! I got in the queue at 5:00. Headed for 140s first and picked up 3. Then on to the 90cm where I bought 7. And then a mere 4 hours in the bracelet queue where I made friends with a lovely Canadian (Laura? Flora?), met David Fincher and got a guy in trouble for queue jumping! Got 5 bracelets, and a friend picked up one for me too.
I was hoping to find boldac au carré and Le potager extraordinaire, as well as a black clic clac in XL. Boom!
Great choices! Interesting that there were choices from a wide range of seasons. Twins with 2 of your 90s- the faceties de Pegasus and the Mors et gourmettes remix. I have gotten a lot of use out of both since I bought them in 2014!

Congrats on finding your fav scraf! I have generally been going to this sale since 2009 but cant force myself recently as it gets more and more stresful. Do you mind me asking if there was Au coeur de la vie or De la mere au ciel? What models of 90s were available? Thank you!

Hi Juss, I totally understand the hesitation. Last few times have been so calm and crowd-free, and now... BAM!

I saw exactly one ACdlV in the green and black cw. Several (maybe 4?) De la mer 90s in neon colors. Also at least one de la mer csgm also in a bright color way.

I picked up a de la mere ciel in a hot pink/blue colorway and put it back at the register. I think I had enough hot pink scarves at that point. :-) but yes, it was there.

This is what I got :)
CDC noir 473€ on a sticker and 488 on receipt! Yes, I didn't compare the prices at the cashier and realized that I overpaid 15€
Extreme Anemone - 403€;
Kelly double Zermatt - 210€,
Hapi 3 Noir -139€,

Sandals Oren 268€,
Tie 93& pocket square
3 carre 90 cm - 199€ - 2 of them are still on the website
Cashmere 100 cm - 372€
Towel 175€

It was very stressful at 90 cm counter - the sales representative refused to "cash" my scarf - to put it in the envelope the minute the security guard announced that the time is up - she reminded me of a kitchen competition when the time is up and the hands are in the air. I found it rude on her side and went to the next lady. I was well composed, not frantic and polite but yes, I don't speak French.

My niece from Germany was asking me to look for certain scarves and I went again to the same counter and found that the selection was slightly different. It means that it's being replenished during this time.

Twillies were sold out at noon but appeared later on again. It means for the specific scarves you might queue twice because I see now that David got lucky and got 2 of my scarves which I was after :))

I wanted to thank David in person and kept asking men for their names :))

Thank you David for your help and enthusiasm!

Wow so jealous of your haul. Is the first one les faceties de pegase? Have been looking for that forever.
