It’s nappa leather darling..

After seeing the one on Corey's site, I was excited when you posted yours. Encouraging that you found two of them! As for the leather, it's impossible to tell in photos, but this bag is thinner and exponentially softer than any of my other early "nappa," bags.
Are either of your two exceptionally soft and thin?

Waiting for it to ship, but I was finally able to score this one that’s been on my list for a while! It’s an ‘05 Turquoise First. Appears to be in fantastic shape, so hoping it will arrive even better than expected Hit purchase right after it was listed

Because it’s thinner than other early Bal’s nappa leathers. My DC one has Same leather than yours, and the caramel it’s chevre.

Ahhh. very special to have one of each. Assume they switched to chevre from the softer, thinner Napa. It’s fascinating to have these bits of Balenciaga history.

They are so lovely! In the photos, the Caramel leather does look super light and soft, I suspect the Dark Caramel looks thicker just because she’s stuffed. I bet if another shows up, it will land with Corey. The one I found was photographed stuffed and at a slight angle, and easily missed. That’s why I wasn’t sure at first, what I was seeing.

I never knew a flat brass Bal existed until a couple of years ago, let alone had a chance to buy one. I think they began showing up on the resale market much more often this past year. Can only guess at the reasons, but you are definitely in on the love of them!

Since I'm a notorious contrarian, I will post in this thread my Jan/Feb 23 purchases THAT NEVER SHOWED UP, got cancelled, and refunded.

1. Metallic Orange makeup. Deadbeat AWOL loser seller. Cat got his tongue and fingers.

2. Super cute blue mini city with super unlikely loss story. Don't know exact color since I never got it. Allegedly, UPS delivered to wrong address, the wrong addressee signed for it and now will not respond to the seller's pleas to send it back. Why would he? He got a free balenciaga bag delivered to him. Can't tell you how BS this story sounds.

3. Cobalt blue-ish papier bucket bag. Rebag cancelled purchase since it was "not available".

4. Burgundy metallic edge small city. Offer on Vestiaire accepted, and within 1 minute purchase cancelled by a thoroughly incommunicative seller.
