The color code is 1000, but this does not look black. It's a dark blue-gray slate, with the most subtle metallic sheen. It has some lighter colored "wear" around the edges which look even more blue. Honestly, I'm blown away by the color and sheen. Sadly for my wallet, it's not going back.

FYI the Dirty Effect also comes in white. That one does truly look dirty.

Oh wow, I love it! Congrats!!! Can you post modeling pics of those last 2 bags you got? Or are you camera shy?? Would love to see it on!! Either way, it's fabulous!!!

The color and effect I really LOVE. I always look for grey-blue whatever I buy in grey - even Longchamp Le Pliage I returned so many grey ones until I found “steel” which is a blue grey. This one is simply amazing. Subtle metallic sheen and everything. Congratulations on an amazing gamble which paid off so well.
