JAN/FEB our new Bal acquisitions!

So technically one of these was received last month, but close enough to the new year that I’m including it here.

I was able to sell some things to be able to grab a couple of long sought additions! I was lucky enough to score one of Cee Jay’s former bags in the form of this gorgeous pistachio city! I was also lucky enough to get this delicious 03 black city (the leather is sooo soft!) and then a project bag in the form of an 04 Seafoam twiggy. Sharing a couple of group shots here but also updated my pics in the family thread if anyone is interested.

Thanks for letting me share! View attachment 5926624View attachment 5926626View attachment 5926625View attachment 5926627
Gorgeous family!

Large Cagole shoulder bag. I was hoping fervently to hate it so I can return it, but I love it. Loud, obnoxious and massive. Size is more like the Work. It dwarfs the Neo Classic. Can fit a ton, which I require for daily use.

I have a love/hate with Cagole, depends on which one... is it heavy? I like it better large I think.

This is my favorite iteration of the OG Le Cagole bags. I saw one in a silvery/pewter one once on TRR and I'm still kicking myself for not snagging it.

+1 on wondering on how heavy it is or not. I had a Cagole Bucket that wasn't too bad, but I didn't care for the lack of a handheld strap. This one looks like it would sit on the shoulder nicely.

Love/hate is exactly how I feel about them too. And in the moments of love, I hate myself for loving it.

Definitely heavier than our regular Cities/Works. Has the capacity of Work, but with a shoulder strap which makes it easier to carry. I was drawn to this one for its massive size. They're hard to find, most of these are in medium size. I'm happy to see that a laptop and documents fit easily, as I couldn’t be sure.

I agree, this one's my favorite too. I like some of the XS and Small ones too, but they're too small to be of much use. It's a shame because the XS comes in the best variety of colors and finishes. There is a stunning metallic dark purple in the XS which I would not be able to resist if it were larger. But given how only the super small ones have cute colors, and meanwhile cost an arm and a leg, I can't justify those.

I spent a long, long time looking for this large one (again, they're hard to find), and I finally found one at Saks at a flukey low price (like, what were they thinking???), so I took the bait, and glad I did.

She’s certainly a big blingy gal!

The comparison shots are extremely helpful in unmasking this workhorse - thank you for that! What size laptop are you packing in there?

Currently working on trying to change from RH Firsts / Cities to my beloved Giant 21s. This weight-lifting Bal diva is much needed inspo!

EDIT: Just saw the modeling pic. LOVELY! 😍

My laptop is about 12" x 9". the pink binder in there is about 12.5" x 9.5". They both fit with plenty of room to spare.

+2 on the heaviness factor curiosity.

Getting myself ready.

Congrats, dear!
You really don't see the large Cagole a lot. Had the medium when it first launched and liked the bag, but ended up returning it. Something just felt wrong to me about it. The medium was heavy already, so I can only imagine the weight of this one, lol. You should start chugging those protein shakes, haha.
I kinda do love the punk chic. Damn it! Thank goodness the color choices are so limited and they usually cost a fortune...
I wouldn't be safe otherwise.
