hm, your bracelet is normal with me. I have much prettier jade bracelet. Jade is nice if it more green and tranlution (sorry for my english ^^ ). But it is not nescessary, what ever, you like, it is ok ^^

I can post picture if you like ^^

i do agree that greener/more translucent jade is more valuable, however i think for the design of this piece the designer did really well choosing the more marbled jade with lots of colour gradation from lavender to very green to milky green which i think fits the overall aesthetic better.

please post pics, would love to see! my grandma has a beautiful jade statue that is very translucent, will try to take pics next time i visit. :)

lovesparkles - very pretty! love it, its different from the coloured cocktail rings that many people wear nowadays.

guccisima - the colour of your bracelet is lovely! what a great accent to any outfit.

here's the jade ring that i have, sorry for the crappy iphone pic! also attached a better taken pic from the same range so you can see the detailing. it's a whiskey quartz in a hammered rose gold bezel.

How beautiful!

I'm taking my little girl to China & Hong Kong in the summer and have promised her a piece of jade jewellery she can keep forever. (I intend to buy myself something too ;) )

However, I don't really know what to look for, how to buy or... well anything really LOL! Heyulp!!

Any recommendations gratefully received.

TIA :D

When I was abroad in Taipei, I went to their world famous jade market. What an eyeful!!!! Everything you could think of was made of jade there (furniture, pottery, figurines....if they don't have it, you can get it made). Jade bracelets prices were anywhere from $20 to $150,000 USD (security guards were with the expensive vendors).
I managed to buy jade presents for family & friends. They luvvvvvv it! :yahoo:
Here's a pic on a typical day:
