I don't really care how much time i have to wait.. i know my unique birkin is coming one day.. that's enough, right?

I didn't make any purchase at that time and hold her up till 7pm. When I left the store, I really can't believe if it is true! I really hope to receipt their call soon to make it real.

i went to FSH george V and a temporary store in paris yesterday
every SA i try said no birkins on monday, i will try it though out this week

P.S when taking metro to the 16 Rue de granelle store, we nearly got pickpocket, a romanian try to bump into DBF for getting in metro and went back to station when the departed, we immediately check the bag and found money and CC are safe, but she steal a pocket of tissue paper.

Glad you didn't loose anything more than tissue. Do go in daily and ask, ask, ask. The worst thing they can say is no. But, you just might get lucky.

Can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Hi twoblues. I can't answer about Podium Orders but many here can. I do know that Special Orders are a breed of their own. For instance, bi or tri colors on a bag, contrast stitching, piping, a specific leather with specific hardware colors, etc. You will find a lot of info on both if you do a search. Hopefully someone will chime in regarding a PO for you.

Just returned from my trip last night. Headed to Paris from London via Eurostar last Friday. Checked into the hotel around 4:00 and immediately headed to Hermes. Walked in and looked around to find an SA who looked friendly and not busy with another customer. Took 2 times around the sales floor and then I spotted a lovely SA with a sweet smile. I approached her and told her I was looking to place a SO as I wasn't able to in the US. She asked me what I was looking for and told me to wait a moment and disappeared into a back room.

She came out carrying a white book and told me I could place my order. I think I went into shock at that moment. We got all the details written down and then she told me the bag would be ready in about 12 months. I thanked her profusely and walked out of the store in a daze. Did this really happen on my first day in Paris, with the first SA I spoke to? She gave me a card with my order number on it and I just stared at it the rest of the day. I was only in Paris for 1 night and my dream came true. What a perfect trip.

So.........I guess it really can happen to just a regular person after all. She made my day and I am still pinching myself. Oh my gosh :yahoo:

I did see several other people placing SO's as well. I guess it is still so hard to believe, that it won't seem real until they contact me to say my bag is ready.

I just wanted to share my story with all of you who were wondering about SO's and hoping to place one as well.

Thank you gemrock. I haven't heard from FSH yet.....but I do have a friend who is going there tomorrow and she is going to ask about my order for me. So, hopefully, I will have an update. I was trying to be patient and wasn't going to check until the end of May but now I might find out a bit sooner. Wish me luck.
