My longing for a maicropave halo setting + sudden crave for a yellow diamond had made me decide to ask my dh to give me this ring as an early birthday present (my birthday is in September) before Tiffany UK prices went up on the 6th of July!
First I thought I would purchase a DeBeers Aura ring or a HW's micropave setting with the yellow diamond center, but chose this Tiffany Soleste, impressed with the impact of the double-row halo setting!
My focus was to find a Soleste looking more rectangular rather than square. I tried on three rings whose center stones were 1.17, 1.61 and 2.2, and picked out this 1.17! It seemed, to me, that Soleste rings with the center stones over 1.5 carats way losing its daintiness. I think this size is just perfect even on my rather big hand!
The Diamond Certificate has not arrived yet. All the stats I remember is that 1.17 Fancy Intense/VS1(?) Yellow Diamond!

I have two Tiffany celebration bands. When I wear Soleste, I choose the swing as a wedding band (below). For a Classic Solitiare, I wear either the swing or the channel-set(3mm), or both.
Juxtaposed to My e-ring, Tiffany Classic Solitiare. Soleste can compare favourably with it! It's GREAT given the price gap!
I am SO HAPPY with my Soleste yellow diamond ring!
I cannot explain how it sparkles IRL!
You cannot compare the beauty of YD and WD. Which to choose is a matter of taste. IMO, YD might look prettier under the sun.
