white for me it too bright or something, plus I think it would get all kinds of marks and color transfer....no white bags for me.....don't like white shoes either - prefer nude color

I avoided white bags for the longest time, but I finally got a *very small* one with a crossbody strap to wear with my dresses in the summer. No way will I do a bigger bag in white.

No white bags for me. I prefer color and I am worried about transferring color from clothes etc onto a white bad.

Never owned a white bag, never will. I'd be too scared of getting it dirty, and they show signs of wear more easily than dark bags no matter what you do it seems. Plus they wouldn't go with my wardrobe at any time of year, I mostly stick to black, blue and rich tan bags all year round.

Absolutely not!
I am too clumsy for white bags, they either stay in the closet or they will get ruined .
Many, many years ago, I had a beautiful white Dolce & Gabbana bag. Ruined by color transfer...
Many years later, I got a beautiful white lambskin Dior bag. Never saw the light, I was afraid of ruining it, So I sold it at the end.
No more white bags for me after that .

Not just a white bag but generally any super light color at all .
Although, I did take a risk and gave my mom a white coated canvas D&B hobo, she cleans it with soap and lucky part it does not turn yellow-ish. ( another white bag nightmare) . Guess saffiano leather can be an option. Just can not imagine white suede bag... :eek:Who is brave enough to give it a try?

How funny I happened upon this thread just after praising someone's white SDJ and noting I'm not brave enough to purchase a white leather bag.

For me, I don't find white to be a must have color. That being said, I do own a white Burberry Buckleigh tote that I hadn't pulled out in over a year and when I did (2 weeks ago), it was disgusting. It had every manner of stain on it and well, I tossed it into the washing machine and still had to take a brush to it. Did I mention it's a nylon bag? I don't use it often because of how dirty it gets and well ... I probably should have purchased in a dark color.

No more white bags for me.

ETA: I do admire tPFer dlynn's white bags though. Have any of you seen her bag showcase? Droolworthy!

I love the look of white in general - sharp, crisp, and can go with anything. I have one white Coach purse (small shoulder bag). I hardly ever carry it so I never had an issue with stains or anything. Aside from the size of the purse (small for every day use), I do recommend having one white bag in your collection!

Now shoes... I was tempted to buy a pair of white pumps but couldn't bite the bullet. I think with shoes the white will scuff and stain so much faster than a purse.
