I really regret not getting the silver.. I have already worn this out for a hour so I’m not sure if YSL would let me exchange. Some of my friends say it’s too gaudy and the other half love it. What colors can I pair it with so the chains won’t look so yellow?

PS. Sorry abt the cleavage

Well, if you like a yellow toned gold then it's probably okay? It's all a question of what you like. What others think is their business; if you carry the bag, you decide! I think you could just pair the bag with similar looking gold jewelry/watch and play it up. Because why not?

All I can handle is pale gold - I like silver so I just have 2 bags with gold hardware so I'm not the one to say anything about what everyone else likes...

Your outfit is black, white, lowcut top--drawing attention to gold bag hardware & cleavage.
Of course people notice these things first.;)

Personally, I find gold hardware classier choice for structured black chain bags.
My more casual black has silver tone.
Enjoy yours, play with some subtle accents in clothes choice.
And be thankful you did not choose anything with oil puddle effect/rainbow hardware--which truly is awful.:yucky:

The thing is I mostly own white/rose gold jewelry.. what black bags with silver hardware do you own?

The yellow is fine... especially if it's your preference... Stand out ! Be yourself... everyone else is already taken. And for the cleavage... don't apologize showing off how great you look. Confidence should be your first accessory worn before the clothes, It's actually your best accessory and should be worn indoors and out. The accessory of Confidence should be worn before the clothes, the jewelry, the bag, the shoes, etc.

I actually love the gold. I think the silver looks more rocker/edgy and bright for chain purses and gold is usually more classic glam and elegant.
