Is This a Good Bag for a Teenager?

Thanks! My laptop fits, but just barely. I may give it to her anyway since it is an "extra gift" and I think that she might be able to use it for "non-class" outings. It would certainly hold an ipad.

I work at a university too and I see a lot of students with iPads and keyboards these days. Depends on their major and their workload. Some carry tons of books, some are carrying a lot of info on their tablets. A lot of times if they're just running to a couple of lectures they may just need a notebook to take notes.

So just depends on the student and her preferences. I think this look is coming back in and this is such a nice bag I bet it will be handy for her.

it's definitely cute, but not practical for a school style. I see a lot of saffiano totes from both coach and MK around campus, and those seem to be very popular with the college girls.

Backpack style handbags are back with the teen set. I am a high school teacher, and several of my students carry smaller backpack handbags (reminds me of me in the 90's! :amuse: ) I think she would love this bag, it is classic and adorable!

Thanks! I think that I will give it to her along with a nice check so that she can get something else that she needs/wants. I am sure that she will find a use for it even if it is not a practical bag for school.

I found this information for the bag on the Wayback Machine and it cost $300 back in 2002. The bag I rehabbed was made in 2003 and it sure looks good for its age IMO; I didn't have to do much to rehab it!

either way it was a great find and I'm sure she will love it, no matter what she uses it for!

It's a lovely bag fit for a teen. Does a standard laptop fit? Or maybe a notebook?

It's a bit small for everyday use for classes. My laptop is small and I can just make it close but my husband has a full-sized ipad and it fits fine. I think it is cute and I hope that she will be able to find use for it.

My niece is graduating from High School and will be heading to college in the fall. I am planning on giving her cash as a graduation gift but I was also thinking of giving her one of my rehab projects as a "extra gift". I have given her a few of my rehabbed bags in the past and she always seemed to like them and use them.

The bag I am considering giving to her is a red Legacy West Backpack 9827 from 2003 that has been fully cleaned and conditioned by me.

It's not huge but it is a nice size unlike many of the vintage Coach backpacks. But it is not like the fabric backpacks that I see kids wearing a lot.

I think it's gorgeous but I just don't know if a teenager would like/use a bag like this. Here are some pics, what do you think?
I think it's a gorgeous bag. Given that she likes the colour, I can't see why she wouldn't love it. Love that it's all leather and simple! Great grad gift. And this is coming from someone who just graduated last year!

P.S. Not to mention the growing backpack trend right now.
