Is there a sale at the Pavillion, NYC, again this month?

Went today. They didn't let people in until 1pm. No leather bags at all! Best selection was in the slg, scarves, and jewelry. Enamels were old and no clic clacs. Shoe selection was smaller than usual. Clothing selection was pretty good but still expensive. Lots of things from the last sale were there. Fragrances that used to be $15-$35 at the sale were now 50-75. Silky pops used to be 70% off but now only 50% off. I only got 3 ties...

Sheesh, that's all? DH better know what a lucky man he is...

It really is like a lottery, these sales

Thanks for the reports, ladies. I received an invitation for the private sale on the 21st but had to travel to japan last weekend. I felt so sorry that i had to miss this sale. but now it seems like i didn't miss out much. phew... ;)

The gold jewelry was 70% off and that's where the deals were. For the cost of an enamel, you could get a ring. I will post pics of my haul in the morning. I scored a black barenia and crinoline Trim II,too.

It wasn't the best sale ever but it had it's high points.

[For me] The best thing about it was seeing old and making new friends. By the time we got in at 1:00, I was so exhausted, turned-off and late for an appointment, that I was there less than hour. Would have been like hermeshunter (sorry I missed you) had I not found a pair of earrings.
The same helpful and knowledgeable staff was working the scarves and I did see some other familiar faces at the jewelry counter. Couldn't get near the enamels but the silver and gold counters were doable. No CS GM shawls, lots of pochettes and 27cm, no twilly or mousseline, that I saw.
May go back later this week. Nice seeing Olive and meeting Restricter.

Hi Restricter!

Trust you to find the pick of the crop even at a mediocre sale!

I'm so relieved I didn't miss anything because I'd been looking forward to this ever since March and then had to pass...

What's up with raising the prices, though...

Did any one happen to see the garden ceinture (belt) tote from a few years ago?

Yes, and it was a steal at $645. They had loads of them.

I picked one up in Ebene canvas with Cocoan Skipper Buffalo trim and handles.

Thanks so much! It is the best bag, so useful and is a true workhorse. Did they have them in the PM, MM and GM? I am looking for the MM and hope they still have them when I go Friday. My mother is looking for the GM.

Thanks and congratulations.

They only had the PM of the Ceinture bag, I'm afraid. There were Garden Party File totes (with the shoulder strap) in the PM also.

Was it really that price? I went yesterday and I thought I saw the price close to $1000.

On Wednesday half the Ceinture Belted PMs were marked $645 and half were marked $1065. The woman in front of me in line bought two of these bags--one with the high price and one with the low price and the cashier sold her both at the low price. I am thinking if the buyer only had a higher priced one they would have not adjusted the price.
