Is there a sale at the Pavillion, NYC, again this month?

I'm pretty sure codygirl and restricter both have invites. Not sure who else...

I'll be there at the crack of dawn on the 22nd for the first day of the public sale.

Lady-Penelope, are you coming in from Boston again? I'm taking the train in on Tuesday and staying over until Thursday... :yahoo:

I wish I could go there too but I'm on the other side of the world lol :p.
I would kill for black/white/grey and brown/beige/white wool H. pompons and I have a feeling they might be there .

I'm afraid I can't make it at all! :-/ I found out about it much too late, plus I still haven't worn my Plume from the March haul, so I don't have the right to go... :shrugs:

But if you see any Paris Bombays in the 37cm size, drool for me, would you?

Any reports from the lucky ones who went to the sale today? :)

not open till 2pm for the private sale... @ metropolitan pavilion, they used to let people in early -- not sure about Soiffer Haskins though. They likely want to create a buzz, so they'll make us wait and stand in line -- anyone know if there is a line yet?

^there was a press sale this morning! early reports were that there were garden totes for $800, also women's runway shoes and bracelets! i can't wait til tomorrow!

^^ Nice pic, I love the small black bracelet on the left with the dots on it.
Sounds like a great sale and I'm already looking forward to see some reveals :graucho:.
Does anyone know if they have wool/silk pompons?

Went today. They didn't let people in until 1pm. No leather bags at all! Best selection was in the slg, scarves, and jewelry. Enamels were old and no clic clacs. Shoe selection was smaller than usual. Clothing selection was pretty good but still expensive. Lots of things from the last sale were there. Fragrances that used to be $15-$35 at the sale were now 50-75. Silky pops used to be 70% off but now only 50% off. I only got 3 ties...

IMHO the sale was a total waste of time! Came home completely empty handed and I don't think I have ever done that before -- and I have been going to these sales for a very long time.

The clothing was 2 - 3 sales old; a cashmere and suede fringe shawl I passed on in March was there - with the same schmutz it had on the cashmere - which is why I didn't buy it last time. Only difference, this time it was more expensive... They had a 5 piece limit in small leather goods, if that matters. I didn't look at shoes or men's clothing. But worst of all, they were so disorganized that the line took way too long at opening and looked way too long at checkout. I was holding a few gift items, looked at the line - looked at the price and decided it was easier to make the purchase on Madison because the savings was so small, who needed the aggravation. The space is smaller too. H should go back to Metro Pavillion. It was much better there!

I hope other TPFers did better than I did!
