Is there a magic number for a balanced stack?

IMO, odd. IDKW

Agree, and also I have no clue why. Odd just looks better.

Agreed, I love odd numbers. I have 3 now and know DH likes to buy Cartier for our anniversary, and I am trying to gently suggest other things than another bracelet lol

I will add that I'm petite so I don't favor heavy stacks for me personally, and I prefer a mix of textures and colors personally. I like it to look curated, not planned. It's so very subjective and personal!

I really think it depends. I wear 4 on one wrist and it works for me, but I think it only works because the 4th one is the d’amour xs. Sometimes I don’t even see it hidden in the stack. I can’t imagine adding another bracelet with more presence. Although it would make it 5 bracelets and ultimately an odd number, it would still feel like 4.

So I’d say odd number unless the even one is dainty? If that makes sense. Lol

“Even numbers create symmetry, but odd numbers create interest. An odd number of details is more effective at capturing your gaze. Odd numbers force your eyes to move around the grouping–and by extension, the room. That forced movement is the heart of visual interest. It’s for that reason that a set of three is more appealing and memorable than something paired off in two’s.”

MAKES SENSE

Although, for one of the most perfect even numbered stacks, see @EpiFanatic ’s four bracelet stack, post #16,643 here

maybe it works bc it’s three of one kind of bracelet and one bangle, IDK

would love to see a pic, @americanroyal89 :)

When building a great stack you need a minimum of 3 pieces with ideally no more than 5. Rules are made to be broken and Equally important is the size and texture of the stack as that is what gives it cohesiveness. This is the most important element when I’m playing with looks. I often break 5 piece rule and add 6 piece if flavor of particular stack calls for something more. If you have added a 7th piece then stop and start over as you have lost the cohesion and it’s turned into a jumble stack. Also take pictures of the stacks you create as the visual helps when you building.

Here is my stack of 4…which often looks like 3 haha.

The d’amour is subtle and often hidden. Since I’m not normally a diamond person, I wanted to add a small little one and have it as kind of a “peekaboo”.

So I personally think even numbers can be done, just depends on the bracelets.

But it often looks more like this:
