Just wondering. I thought about this yesterday as I was out shopping wearing my pale pink Selma medium studded messenger. This is a bag that is impossible to get your hands on here, unless you get the MK flagstore to send it to you. Hence a bag not seen so much around here. So naturally I got quite a few looks, and even though I know my outfit complemented the bag, AND I know I just lost 31 lb and now is a size 10, I still felt somewhat selfconcious about wearing my bag. I just turned 39. Am I too old to wear studded bags:confused1: ? Is there an age for when it is not okey to wear these bags, or do you just do what you like? :-sI have only this studded bag, so I`m in the blue here. Probably should have asked this BEFORE I bought the bag...:shucks:

And...I have worn it to work, gotten many looks, but only a few compliments....

No certain age , to me who cares what people think if you love it that is all that matters congrats on losing weight that is so awesome!!! Don't be self conscious!!! Wear it with pride !!! by the way I love the bag

What?!? First off congrats on the weight loss!! My mom is in her late 60's and has bags with studs, jewels chains etc.. Its all in how you feel. She feels great and most of her friends are currently falling apart physically. My parents are active and constantly on the move. Certain clothing fashion rules are the only thing IMO women should heed like miniskirts, haltertops, and tubetops etc.. after a CERTAIN AGE. Not accessories, no way! I love spikes and chains whether on my bag or on my wrist and I'm 40+. My kids are all young adult age and they told me I'm a COOL looking mom. I'm just being me and I will take that crumb of a compliment LOL!!. AND I will never give up my skinny jeans-NEVA!!!!!

Well done on the weight loss, that is an awesome amount to lose!:ghi5:

Anyone who's looking is doing so wishing they owned your gorgeous PP bag! It's bag envy pure and simple.

Wear it in good health and enjoy it. Personally I love the studs, they're classy and edgy. :coolio:

I'm debating a studded messenger at the moment. I only tend to wear platinum, white gold or silver tone jewellery, so wondering about mixing metals with gold studs. Or praying to the handbag goes for more bags with silver studs....:thinkin:

:wtf: I agree with Smiley & Baglady. Congrats on your weight loss!! Age is simply a number; It really depends on how you feel. I'll be 60 in a couple of months & I have studded bags, fringe bags, ect. It really depends on how you feel about yourself. If you love the bag, then carry her with pride, especially if it's a rare bag for Norway. People were probably looking at you with envy because you looked so good. As long as you feel good about yourself, life is too short to worry about what other people think. Personally, like Baglady, I think certain clothing should should be age appropriate...like mini skirts, bootie shorts, tube tops, ect.....because you can't fight gravity. I still wear halter tops but that's just around the house. I still wear leggings but with a longer tunic top to cover my backside. LOL From your modeling shots, you always dress impeccably so hold your head up & wear your bag with pride. :D

Never ever allow others make you feel embarassed, ashamed or guilty for simply being YOU. I can't stand shamers!!. You know those women and sometimes men who try to make you feel like you don't deserve or shouldn't have anything of value. They try to shame folks on just about everything. Home, car, kids, weight, job, HANDBAGS etc...hold your head up AND keep on walking, who cares what they think.

This is why I love TPF. We are about the bags and then some on here. If a "sister" needs us we are there as fast as our fingers will tap!! Its not JUST the handbags here, its a strange little sisterhood and I love being a member LOL!! I don't have a biological sister but have many handbag sisters.

Oohwee, the BOOTY shorts!! I can't tell you how many women I have seen wearing them since the weather finally broke. My booty is just not same as it was 20 years ago and just like in war-cease and retreat LOL!! I too wear halter tops and dresses but cover up with thin cardigans and wraps now. Back fat and bra fat is from the devil!! Leggings are also great under shorter dresses that I refuse to let go. As long as I look appropriate and nothing is hanging out, its all good. Double mirrors are a middle age womans best friend, you see EVERYTHING and don't have to rely on someone else opinion on what looks o.k.

Oh definitely not too old!!! It's a pretty, classy looking bag that looks great on you! How great it is to be walking around with a bag that no one else has around there ...that makes you stand out in a GOOD way! Definitely rock it!!! Oh and congrats on the weight loss!!!! :yahoo:

Congrats on the weight loss! That's something to be so proud of Norwegian Girl. I agree with everything said on this thread, you are getting looks cuz you look so put together and the bag just stands out cuz it looks so good with the studs! I personally don't think studs are only for younger people, and if someone older can rock booty shorts and crop tops or whatever then I say go for it. You only live once!

You're only 39, that's still young[emoji14]

First off, I can't believe you just lost 31 lbs. :faint: Congratulations! That's really great! People were probably staring at your bag because 1) they haven't seen such a beautiful color with studs before and 2) they were admiring it and wondering where they could get one. :smile1: You are never too old to wear bags with studs. Studs are very common on all sorts of accessories like handbags, clutches, jackets, belts, boots, etc. I'm sure you looked great! Carry that beautiful bag with pride! :okay:

HUH??? lol! I am 60 and still wearing studs!! lol! . Look at Cher for heavens sakes! Age is just a state of mind. It's all mind over matter. If you don't mind, it don't matter! lol! 39 is the age women are at their peak of sexiness! Enjoy it as long as possible. Times have changed and women dress young clear into their 70s!

I often wonder this about my hair. It is down to the middle of my back and at my age, I really should cut it. But my husband demands that I don't. So I just do what makes he and I happy. Me thinks you are thinking too much! lol! Be sexy! Have fun! You are not even CLOSE to , too old, for anything! lol! Besides, when you dress old, it makes you look old! Although I don't think older gals should wear mini skirts or Daisy Dukes! lol!

Here is 63 year old Lynda Carter ( Super Woman) Do you think she's too old for that long hair? And what about those earrings?? Maybe she should have little tiny old lady pearls on?? NOT! lol!
