I saw a Day GSH and City RH in pommier at my local Saks yesterday. Though the same "color", interestingly, both bags looked different in their shades of green. I was thinking the Day GSH looked less deep green as the City. I liked the deeper green shade on the City, but I've been waiting for the pommier Day. However, your posting has made me decide to go-ahead and purchase the Day! :-)

Here's another comparison. VG and Pommier are closer than I'd expected, but not the same. VG is darker and brighter in a sort of electric way. Pommier is softer but still a happy color.

I had a hard time deciding between the RH and GSH myself.
I know that you will love your Classic Day RH in Pommier. I
don't really think that you can go wrong with this color. I decided
to go with the GSH as the bags I am purchasing from the Collection colors (August) will be in RH. Here are some more comparison pictures of the Classic Pommier Day RH with the Giant Day GSH. I think that the green is
richly saturated in both bags. Whatever you choose I am sure
you will love the Pommier.

Awesome comparison!!!! Ah, I was right! Pommier is more mellow with the blue undertone and VG is more yellow-green. They're both very gorgeous colors but I am definitely happy with Pommier for a full bag. :love: Though I wouldn't ever turn down a VG. :graucho:

Thanks for this! It totally helps. I really like the Pommier but I have a hard time buying bags when I don't see the color IRL first. Returning items to the states is a big pain and I want to be sure. I Love this color. It looks like just the right green for me!!

I think VG might be a little too green and too bright for some people, though not the hardcore green fans, like me. Pommier is just less so, though still a bright green. I really like both.

I went to the south coast plaza in search of pommier and it actually made me decide that I wanted VG. I agree with what people said here that VG is more electric and I have several neutral bags, so want a more bright shade of green.
Great comparison pictures, I think loads of people with love pommier as it is a little more muted than VG.

IMO, Pommier and VT are not very close in color. Pommier is more mellow whereas VT stands out more especially with GGH.

Originally I was going to purchase something in Pommier, but after it's been released, still likes the VG better, so I decided to wait for my mint VG GGH bag. Don't get me wrong, Pommier is still a nice color.

I'd say VG was brighter, and Pommier more matte. Really depends on your own preference. And I've also seen pics where VG does look not as vibrant as it does in the photos here. In any case, both are VERY green greens! (you know what I mean). I'm contemplating one myself. :drool:
