Actually, it looks like LV is betting strong for the Alma for the first time in ages? There is a revamp, full page adds featuring the Alma in current fashion magazines, and a Steven Meisel campaign...
A bit late to the party if anything, with compact, dome shaped bags having had a revival for a couple of seasons now (with the Balenciaga, the mini Bolide, the Celine version...).

I have a number of Alma bbs in different colors . I love them and enjoy carrying them as much today as ever!
The Alma is a true classic, one of the very few core designs that will never ever go out of style. The most popular size will always vary though: Paris Hilton rocked GMs in the early 00's, now small bags are all the rage and the BB reigns. I think (and hope) that it will change, although small bags are not just cute, but also way more profitable for Vuitton to manufacture, transport and sell.
I have the newer Alma BB with "guitar strap" in Citron. I really don't care if it's trendy...are any of us really that rich that we wouldn't use a bag that some (who, exactly?) consider dated? Silly if you ask me and I certainly don't consider it unflattering since I bought it, afterall. It's fun. Anyways, I got a bit sidetracked but I do believe the Alma BB is a classic.
I bought the Alma bb in epi in galet on a whim. It’s a forever bag for me..classy, understated and oh so feminine and ladylike! I carry it by hand only but keep the strap in the bag just in case.
I think its a classic staple piece for LV. I see people still wearing it, not as often as the neverfull but more often than speedy.

Does anyone have a pic of what Coco Chanel’s Alma looked like? Can anyone tell me, does white epi “yellow” or become dingy over time? Thanks
Love my Alma BB. I have it in Epi. Goes with everything. It’s just a bit small for what I need to carry everyday so I don’t reach for it as much as I would like. But it’s a keeper and I will never part with it!
I can't say I'm a fan of those trendy straps, but the Alma itself, whatever size, is definitely a classic!
I love this little bag and silhouette. While this strap might be a current trend I’m hoping to find some lovely alternatives to rotate with this one. I love the comfortable strap on my H Evie! I’ve had the bb more than once and always would reach for the mono over epi for strap comfort. I think this offers the best of both worlds. I think I’ve talked myself into picking it up
