Okay, I've been wearing my Tag for years and it's done really well for me. That said, I'm really interested in an upgrade and want a two-tone watch. I dress very casually most of the time and need a watch that is worry-free and that i can wear anywhere (parks, beach, etc). I also need it have a good amount of water resistance (around 100m) which I think wipes out Cartier, sadly. So, does anyone have suggestions? I'm hoping to keep the price to around $4500 if I can (if I get a Rolex, I know it'd be more and I can live with that). I have my eye on this Rolex but my husband says it looks like an older person's watch (those who own it, please forgive his comment!) What do you all think of this watch? I would consider sticking with Tag but I don't think there's a two-tone model that I like at the moment. My husband is too against the J12 so that's out too (lovely watch but he prefers the traditional watch brands if you kwim)

LOL....I would call a Rolex "Classic" instead... :) If you wore your last watch for 10 years, you should definitely buy a Rolex. It's worth the money. I wouldn't get a Tag since it doesn't have two - tone model that you want and also, you already wore that brand for 10 yrs...it's time to move on and move up to something better :) I think J12 is a "fun" watch to own too.....I hope to get a J12 one day myself.

I think it depends on what size face you get in the Rolex, a much more updated look, is the larger sized face. Great watch, in the larger size!
I think the small faced watches, do look like old lady watches.

Unfortunately, because I have this exact one, in two tone, and a solid gold one with diamond bezel, in the 26mm face :(
I NEVER wear them!

LOL! Well I guess your husband would consider me 'old' as I have this exact watch (36mm with slate dial, cant be sure from your pic if that's slate or not).......I have never looked at any of my watches as a classification of age but they are timeless........I love this watch and am basically a casual person on a day to day basis. I don't think you would regret getting a Rolex. Good luck with your decision.

Your watch, is the cool large faced version! :smile1:

My 26mm, are the old lady kind....

yes i was looking at that! but i think it's only for 50 m water depth. i think i need 100m because i will wear the watch when doing dishes, at the beach, etc.

How about the Cartier Tank Francaise? It was my first really, really nice watch ever purchased. Still have it and love it. Can be dressed down or up.

I am not old and I got the 26mm tt everose and ss Rolex in January for my birthday and before that I wore my tag for 13yrs. I picked the small one the midsize 31 wasnt that much more . I don't care for big watches.

I am 26 and I would love a Rolex , actually am saving for one hopefully by the end of the year am getting one.

I do have a small wrist so am considering it 31 mm. I never saw Rolex as a watch for old ladies. I mean I wouldn't appreciate and teenager wearing one.

SOOO you really should go for your Rolex ,you would never regret it , if you can afford it now why not ! I am so in love with your selection and Jubilee bracelt is my favourite.

You might want to consider Omega Constellation it is such a classic as well in two tones.
