Is my Chanel classic flap caviar good or bad. Matte/dull or shiny

The grains are really beautiful! There is quite a bit of variety regarding to the grains as well and as soon there is no real major flaw or defect I became a bit more relaxed as leather is natural and there will always be some variety

Hi all,

I have only a few days left to return and exchange my Chanel classic flap in caviar. It’s my first purchase and would like to know your thoughts on the caviar on my bag. If it’s pretty enough to keep or exchange. It is smooth and the grain isn’t prominent unless light is shined on it? With poor lighting there is no shine to the leather. I’ve attached some images. it’ll be really helpful if you could show some images of your caviar as well!! Please let me know your thoughts on my bag. It’s such an expensive piece that I want more of a peace of mind and opinions.

I think as long as there’s a sheen to it then I’m okay. Which I think this one has? It’s shiny under mall lights and outdoors. I don’t want mine to be like so shiny it’s Plastic. Thank you for commenting!

Ah you’ve been so helpful! yes, my bag stitching is really well done that’s why I was hesitant to return or exchange it base on the caviar as I know Chanel has been having a few issues with the stitch. My lack of experience with caviar has cause all my anxiety to come bundled up. If a lot of people think my grain isn’t too flat or smooth looking then I think I’m going to keep it

In my eyes, the bag looks perfect

I have attached two picture about the variety of caviar, one is a classic wallet (the very grainy more „rough“ looking one and the other (more shiny leather and in my eyes more flat grains) is my WOC.

Both hold up perfect and I love both so much. (thinking of adding another caviar item to my collection soon, the more pictures I see in this forum, )

Yours looks shiny. My black classic is matte, not like yours, which is evident when I put it next to my other caviar pieces.
