Hiiii! I purchased a Juste Un Clou about 3 years ago and have worn it almost everyday since then. It still looks great! I originally bought it because I wanted something special, but that also feels a bit under the radar and edgy. But now I feel like the JUC is almost as ubiquitous as the Love bracelet. What do you think? I'm considering getting the ecrou bracelet instead (although I've heard the bolts all fall to the same spot eventually, and I don't like the sound of that). Are there other high-end bracelets that have an edgy feel, but are less common?

I feel social media allows for more access and recognition, making it seem like it’s more ubiquitous, and overdone however it’s not the same IRL. I feel like the same can be said for classic flap Chanel bags, it doesn’t stop the longs lines outside of the Chanel boutiques. Just as many feel the bags are classic, so is the JUC. If you love it, it shouldn’t matter.
Just my 2 cents.

No way! it's been around since the 70s, totally classic
edit to say, it has to feel good to you! I think the ecrou would look nice stacked with it if you like the edgy look. Or even the Cartier clash line.

I read it somewhere that the bolts of ecrou bracelet can be fixed in place by applying loctite. Maybe you can ask SA to do it for you if you decide to purchase it

Thanks for all your replies! Honestly, I looked at my JUC today and just can't imagine ever parting with it. I love both jewelry and bags, but there's something so uniquely special about a piece of jewelry that is worn everyday. It carries so much life and memories with it from the years I've worn it. I think I'd like to just get the ecrou, but will probably keep my JUC forever. :) And you're right, I do rarely see people wear it in real life.

I feel the same way, so for a second piece I will be purchasing the Ecrou. I want something more under the radar. Outside of this community, Ecrou doesn’t scream Cartier and isn’t so popular and associated with the brand. At least not as much as Love or JUC.

I was gifted a Love bracelet for my first Mother’s Day, and simply adore it for sentimental reasons, but as a second piece, I feel that stacks flashing both a love and JUC of some sort are a bit overdone on social media. Probably not IRL but it was enough to sway me away from the JUC and toward the Ecrou.

Get what you love at the end of the day. These are expensive pieces. Only YOU have to love it and wear it.

Other suggestions are Chaumet’s bee my love collection and Piaget, both not super edgy but less common in the U.S. than Cartier and VCA.

For edgy, I would recommend Bvlgari to you, it sounds more along the lines of what you’re probably looking for.

I own the Ecrou bracelet and I actually never experience the nuts all falling to one end. I believe it's because I sized down (Ecrou 15, Love 16). The nuts still move a bit on their own, and I actually enjoy playing with them throughout the day, but they never ever all end up on one side like I've heard from others. If you get a loose-fitting Ecrou bracelet, you might experience that more.

I wouldn't ever Loctite my Ecrou because I love that the nuts move and I can change up the look of the bracelet. But if you strongly prefer them a certain way, like perfectly spaced out, then Loctite is definitely a solution.

I think it depends where you live and hang out (city; suburban lifestyle). I have never actually seen anyone else wearing a JUC other than at the Cartier boutique. Also, does it really matter if it is common? I find it funny that you are buying Cartier which is sold all over the world and looking for something different. If so, should go to a local jeweller.
