I can see your point...you want the diamond flush with the setting. The diamond would be more protected, too.

I waited 10 yrs for my reset. I wore an ering and band I didn't love for 10 whole yrs! My stone was fine but the setting was blah and took away from it. Don't wait like I did... And I'm in love w my new setting and wish I had done it sooner! And prices will just continue to go up. If you have the store credit, go for it now!
