I feel the same way OP. It seems that as soon as I think I'm content I see another MUST have handbag. All the lovely handbags on tPF only fuel this.
I have begun to realize that I love my Coach bags as much as I do my expensive designers so the expensive designers don't appeal to me as much anymore.
I love that I'm able to use my Coach bags with no fuss and I've always resold them at a great price.
Coach's new styles and sales keep me shopping even on a ban :p

I think you have all hit on some key points... one, that reading about bags here helps add to the craze. Nothing wrong with that, but it just makes it feel easier to keep buying bags out of excitement until you get them all home and realize, wow, this is a lot and I probably don't need this many! :-)

Also that you can keep searching for a bag, thinking this is the one, but yet you will keep searching for another one anyway, and that will continue until you get to the point that you realize you need to pick your "happy number" of bags. It is such a cycle for sure! I have been through all of this...bought bags, given many of them up because they weren't right in the end. So now I try to ignore the hype and be as practical as I can. I am down to about 8 bags I think, and though at times I would like another one for variety I am trying to wait for the right one at the right price.

I've so enjoyed reading this thread! At one point, I had 20 or so bags - most of them Coach. I then sold almost all of them and started over. I ended up with 3 or 4 LVs, a couple of Chloes, and a couple of Rebecca Minkoffs that I kept for my daughter.

I currently have 3 LVs (Delightful, Pochette Metis and NM Pochette, which isn't really a "bag"), 2 Chloes (Marcie and mini Marcie), and I've bought 3 Coachs in the last month (2 Rogues and a Dinky 24). I seem to have a good variety of sizes and options for different needs, and I've done a good job sticking with neutrals, which is what I always end up using. But just like everyone else, I still seem to be on the hunt for the perfect bag, which truly does not exist. Or maybe it does and it's thousands of dollars and I haven't seen it and can't afford it. I think part of the obsession for me is the hunt for the new bag - researching and looking at bags, watching YouTube videos of unboxings, finding out what people think of the bag I'm considering, trying it on in the store, etc. I wish I could just be content with what I have at any given time, but this "hobby" seems to never let up...

Hi all!
So, I returned 4 bags today & finally pulled the trigger on a Dyson vacuum! Let's hope it brings me some joy like the handbags do:p

That's great T. I think you will feel so much better with the new vacuum--it will clear up the clutter (physical and mental clutter of those extra bags) :smile:

good for you on returning 4 bags!

I don't own a Dyson but a Shark vacuum and I love it, I always like to vacuum because it instantly makes the house look cleaner!
I wish I liked vacuuming. I've gone through so many vacuums. Even expensive brands tend to die on me. My kids and hubby hate the noise so I have to do it when everyone is gone and no one is sleeping. I always feel like I'm sneaking around.

That's great! If you don't mind me asking, which 4 did you return? I still need to head to Macy's to return the Drifter.
I went overboard during their recent 30% off sale. I ordered 5 bags & returned 4. Returned are:
Willow floral strap Nomad (didn't wow me like I had hoped);
Drifter (I'm all about an exterior pocket & I found this one to be too hard to get in & out of, although I suspect I'll end up with one eventually if I could get it for a steal);
Backpack (phone would not fit in the outside pocket); &
Market tote (ordered in gunmetal but they sent me surplus green, which made this return super easy).
The bag I kept was the willow floral Nolita crossbody in black. Super cute!
I love to organize but don't like to clean. We'll see how this vacuum stacks up!
