Is it just me, or has Cartier become a bit boring now?

I still keep coming back to the boutiques, Cartier website, and this forum all the time.

Here’s my Cartier timeline:
2018: bought myself a Trinity cord
2020: bought myself a Tank Française ring pre-loved, bought myself Trinity cord in WG & ceramic
2021: was gifted a WG love wedding band
2022: sold the tank française ring, bought the WG small clash ring, bought the YG love wedding band to stack with WG, bought and then lost WG small JUC ring, bought the tri-color chain necklace

Right now, I have the clash ring on left middle finger and both love wedding bands on right pointer finger 24/7. Haven’t worn the cord bracelets at all. I still wear the necklace 24/7.

Currently, on my wish list on short term, I still have a RG love wedding band on list for my tri-color love wedding band stack on right pointer finger and replacing my lost WG small JUC ring.

In long term, I definitely still have a regular WG love bracelet on my wishlist for a big life accomplishment. Small items include the small tri-color vendome band though have replicated the look with some 1.2mm 14k stacker rings from an Etsy shop.

I would also consider adding a regular WG vendome band as well as a WG écrou ring.

As a guy, I like to think my left side is more masculine with my omega watch and WG clash ring (and eventually WG love bracelet) and then my right side is more feminine with the tri color tones with my YG and WG love wedding band stack and my non-Cartier stacker rings.

Right now, I have the tri-gold Trinity cord charm on my Trinity chain (one chain of each gold color). The bracelet is non-Cartier but matches the trinity chain. The three rings on my right hand ring finger are from Etsy and somewhat dupe the Cartier tri-gold Vendome ring.

I may not have enough room for my wishlist unless I remove some! Here are my ideas
- Swap the WG small Clash ring with WG Ecrou ring
- Swap the tri gold Etsy rings with either WG small JUC ring, real tri gold Vendome ring, or classic Trinity ring.

Not boring for me now. I did feel this way 2 years ago. I was over the plain large love. I was wearing all YG and no pave. I changed it up and now have RG and some pave pieces and love them! I fell in love with the small love with diamonds. It's the perfect bangle for me and I love it. :)

I would like a few more pieces that are not love or JUC. There is so much in the store, I go a lot and still find something new every time! Maybe you are bored of the core pieces and need a change! There are sooo many amazing things in the boutique!

I'm here with ya. I have lost interest in Cartier. I have what I wanted, excepted for regular JUC w/ dia. Then maybe the small Love w/dia. I'm serious, these things are no longer in my immediate radar. I like the clash, but not so enamored to spend the big bucks on it. I tried on the medium Clash earrings.. Nice, but very heavy. The new line.. with the (I call it bar) ring across 3 fingers is edgy and punk, but I would not buy that from Cartier. That look has been around for ages and the people who wear that look would not buy that from Cartier.

Oh and I also want to say that if you like the amulette collection (which seems to be slowly discontinuing) then you might like the berlingots collection. Not sure where you are based but as of recently I was told they don’t have plans to bring it to the U.S. but that is a new collection and something a little different/pop of color with the gemstones. I own one of the necklaces that I bought in Asia a few months ago. It appears to also be available in Europe and the Middle East, although either still under the radar or not as popular. But if you’re looking for something new, fresh and not “boring” but still within the brand it may be a good option.
I’ve seen pictures of the Berlingots collection and it just doesn’t strike my fancy. I feel like I’m not into the geometric shapes (whereas the Amulettes had a softer, round appearance).

I got your point! But I think it’s about building up a brand, especially a high end brand like Cartier, it can’t be like those “fast fashion jewelry brands” that constantly launch new stuff. It’s important to maintain its high status, so it will always promote its classical products. It’s better for the brand’s development in the long run. If they come up with some new elements, it will be very hard to make the new stuff as iconic as the classical designs (it will cost tons of money).
I think they do put brilliant new ideas into their high jewelry every year, and I heard that for many of those high end jewelry brands, usually the same design teams are in charge of designing both high jewelry and “cheaper” jewelry we see in the counter, so I guess they don’t have too many ideas left for cheaper jewelry lol?
