Is http://www.raffaello-network.com legitimate?

I think one of my very first BBags was from Raffaello...and yes, while their prices are inflated, the transaction was smooth and the bag perfect (and authentic!). :-) Good luck!

authentic. prices vary. good to check every now and then for discounted bbags. you don't get to request for specific textures of leather, though. you have to keep checking shipping status if you're the anxious type. and you've to check their invoice, to be sure they bill you in the correct currency.

Thanks drati, sadly the bag I had my heart on is now out of stock! Oh well... serves me right for hesitating :crybaby:

Well, I just purchased a black city (07) a few days ago (I thought), but when I called to check on shipping, they told me it was sold out and I should be getting an email from them soon. ...so I'm sad along with you. :crybaby:

 That sucks... to get your hopes up like that. I caved in and went for my 2nd choice (pink) and placed an order today. Have yet to receive a tracking no., now I'm paranoid! lol Good luck Sophie.

Hello:

Can anyone please tell me if rafaello-network is legitimate?

Has anyone bought from this store, what has been your experience?

I just got a response to my question from the gucci.com's official site stating the following:

On the other hand, on the www.rafaello-network.com site, under FAQ, Legal Disclaimer, (http://www.raffaello-network.com/raffties/fashion-help.php) they state the following:

My husband has bought a lot of things from rafaello and they have all turned out to be the real deal. He swears by them. That said, I don't feel like their prices are that much lower than nordstroms or neimans and in some cases even higher, which is why Ive never bought anything.

I believe, from my own experience and from what I've heard from others on here, that they sell authentic products. However, they are not authorised by the designers to sell their products (hence Gucci's reply).

I think by; 'normally sourced through the Authorized Distribution Networks' Raffaello are alluding to the fact that they buy overstocked items from other retailers who are authorised.

So, if x or y authorised boutique orders 10 Gucci bags from Gucci, but only sells/thinks it will be able to sell 6 of them, they then sell the other 4 on to non authorised retailers like Raffaello.

I bought a Prada Mock Croc Pochette and a pair of Gucci sunglasses from them about 6 or 7 years ago and they're both lovely quality and I'm pretty sure they're auth..

However, if you want to be 100% certain, especially if it's a brand you're not overly familiar with, it is probably best to stick with the authorised retailers, if at all possible, as occasionally even honest non-authorised retailers can be swindled by their suppliers (not that I've ever heard of that happening with Raffaello, but still). :smile1:

Also, the whole grey market area is very muddy water, as there are other retailers who claim to be legit, although unauthorised, sources but who actually sell superfakes... :s

ETA: I'd forgotten about this thread (all turned out alright in the end, but if they still don't attach non-removable labels [I don't know whether they still don't, or whether they do now?], they may still be subject to switched returns):

I bought a Balenciaga First from them once and compared it side by side with one I own. I did not feel comfortable with the bag for me the leather felt funny, but then again I don't like the leather of this years red or orange firsts either...it just isn't soft.

I believe that they are listed in the Balenciaga forum as reputable resellers of BBags.

Yes, leather varies year to year on Balenciaga bags. If you are concerned, please post photos of your Balenciaga First Bag in the authenticate this thread.
