I think if the aesthetics of the brand appeal to you, than it doesn't matter whether it's in or out, stylish or unstylish, or whatever. After all, taste is subjective and some ppl appreciate clean, minimalist lines, while others appreciate fantasy and whimsy (how I tend to see Chopard), etc. etc. Luckily, there is something out there for everyone! :)

Chopard gets a lot of press on the red carpet (their extraordinarily expensive pieces are spectacular), but maybe a some of their pieces that I happen to adore (floating diamond ANYTHING ), others could see as lacking sophistication or too young. Who is to say, really. In any case, that individual is certainly entitled to their opinion, but no matter what, I know I will happily wear my pretty pieces for as long as I want to. :) Dated though, I don't think so. At all. I think it's more of a question of taste, which again, is entirely subjective. :)

There are actually many popular jewelry pieces that hold zero appeal for me. As with anything though, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so I subscribe to the wear whatever you want, whenever you want (sparkly) school of thought! :)

I don't really consider anything dated unless you wear a certain style head to toe.
Also, I don't really care if someone thinks my jewelry is dated...I get it for my enjoyment, not theirs.

I think of Chopard floating diamonds as a classic designer piece. According to this online article the Happy diamonds design came out in 1976 and they're still making it, so that shows me it's pretty classic. I didn't even realize it was around that long, I feel like I only started noticing the happy floating pieces in magazine ads in the late 90's or early 2000, I'm not with it lol.

Thank you for posting that article & it describes Happy diamonds so well..... I can see why there called Happy because when I look down at my ring I see the little diamond spinning & it makes me smile...... I only discovered Chopard a few years ago but I'd love to add more to my little collection :D

I love what you wrote & I agree totally we all have different taste, mine has changed over the years & I tend to choose more classic pieces & less of it but better quality IYKWIM..... I only have 3 Chopard pieces but could easily have more if I had the spare cash :graucho:

I love my happy sport. It's the smallest and to me it's more of a dress watch prob due to its size. I love watching my diamonds dance around and so does DH. Makes me so happy.
