i LOVE this tote because you can fit your laptop AND your wallet, other stuff but it doesn't look like you are carrying around a huge briefcase. its sort of got an oversized speedy feel to it.

i would like to wait until i have the money saved up -- but this bag seems to be sold out a lot of places... so i'm kind of worried they might sell out

i'm really glad to know your Tumis take a licking and keep on ticking. i am way too lazy to baby my bags! so they need to be TOUGH

^Have you tried looking online? I actually really love their ladies bags as well...my MIL has this mock croc in bright green and it looks really expensive and sturdy. They're bags meant for travelling but she's been using hers for other occasions too.

I don't think they are bags with a good design but you can track the bag and it's good quality.

They are good at building a successful brand.

My hubby has a Tumi laptop bag, a jacket by Tumi and a duffle bag by Tumi. All were purchased at. Tumi outlet ! Check to see if there's an outlet by you!

I bought my husband a TUMI suitcase for Father's Day last year and he LOVES it! My husband is pretty much a road warrior (or in his case an air warrior) when it comes to his job and his bag has been through soooo much with him. He LOVES it and I honestly think that other than noise-cancelling headphones, it is the best gift I've given him!

I've had the same black Tumi suitcase for nearly 20 years now and it has held up amazingly well! Just sent it back to their "spa" and got brand new wheels and a part replaced that had cracked near the handle. $26 handling charge was the only fee. I convinced DH to get one (alpha line) for work 2 years ago and he is happy as a clam with it. It's sleek, lightweight, discreet yet distinctive enough to be recognized by people who know what it is. I highly recommend.

Yes! My carry-on wheelie from 2006 is still alive and strong after several trips. I also have a large duffle wheelie from 2011. I haven't had any issues with either of them.

Yes $475 is expensive, yes it prolly is worth it...but the effort and financial strain is not IMO. TJMAXX sells tumi both large and small from the cheap to the $475 range. Please dont pay full price even though it id worth it.
