Hi there - I know this post was from a couple years ago, but I was just wondering how your 19s iridescent bag has been holding up? I saw one for sale on FP in seemingly great condition for a pretty good price and I love the color, but still on the fence - would love to hear any insight you have on the wear and tear, color, use, etc. (not looking to use as an everyday bag, but occasional weekend use, special occasions, etc.) thank you !!

I ❤️LOVE ❤️ my 19S iridescent blue classic flap in the small size. It is doubly special to me because I bought it at 31 Rue Cambon.

As far as how it has held up, it is still in perfect condition, but I have only worn it a handful of times. The unusual world situation of the last 15 months is part of why, but also because I have bought so many bags the past few years that I rotate wearing them all.

But I took this beauty out a month or two ago, and I was reminded what a treasure she is.

Are you considering the pink camera bag on FP? I think it is fabulous! As far as I know, those small camera bag from 19S didn’t come the the U.S. at all, so a definite great find. If I had the budget, I would snap it UP!

It’s actually a medium classic flap - after a lot of attempted research/scouring the internet, I *think* it’s the same one @Glitterbomb and others purchased. It just hit 20% off today on FP so I’m conflicted - a) I didn’t plan on making this big a purchase right now, mainly because b) I’m honeymooning in Hawaii in September and thought it’d be special to use my end of year bonus and buy one in boutique there - but then I also know all the supply issues / you can’t just walk into a store and buy a classic flap, let alone in a color that you’d want (plus god knows when another dreaded price increase will hit!). And this is now below retail (believe it or not - I’m suspicious lol!) so it would be a “steal.” But I also have the 21s white iridescent mini so I’m worried it would be too similar / I should get something much different for my classic flap.

also wouldn’t be surprised if someone snaps it up while I dither lol

Have you gotten any SA referrals for Hawaii? That way you can be in communication with an SA who can put any special bags aside for you.

But I actually had the same chance last year; FP dropped the price of a medium beige classic flap from 19S to below retail, and I passed since (as usual) I had recently purchased too many bags. But I have regretted it ever since.

I truly can’t make up my mind of what my “perfect one” (I say I’ll stop at one LOL fingers crossed) classic flap would be, so I don’t even really know what to ask for. I’ve been keeping my eye out on the 21k thread since I’ll be heading right as that collection drops but nothing has made my heart sing enough to fight for being put on a waitlist / putting in all the effort to get a sought after bag.

Good to know (although sorry you have that experience!) you regret passing on the beige classic flap - I feel like I will too if I don’t at least try this bag out (always feeling more secure with FP’s 30 day return policy!) because I’ve done my Chanel research for months now and I know a below retail price for a bag in nearly new condition is extremely rare. Sigh; tough, extremely first world problems am I right!!

And I also have the 21S white iridescent, but mine is in the mini rectangular. It is SO gorgeous! But the medium classic flap on FP you are considering is similar in that it is very light in color and in lambskin, so definitely a bag to handle with extra care. Do you wear a lot of light colors? I wear a lot of denim, so I try not to buy too many light colored bags, but darn, they are SO pretty, sometimes I don’t purchase with practicality in mind
BUT, if your wardrobe doesnt have a lot of color transfer worries, I would grab that beauty at FB! The price is NICE and the bag is GORGEOUS.

Excellent point - FP has such a nice return policy, unlike other resellers. So if it is anything less than perfection, you can send it back with no worries.

Iridescent pink looks so good fro your photo. I was after iridescent beige small flap and Mona Lisa Card Holder,unfortunately I didn’t score any in my list. But I still got the luck to bring Iridescent blue Flap home. I dressed iridescent blue Flap with white stripe top, pair of jeans and white converse. It works so well on my daily outfit.
