Has anyone one been in recently? I have a daytrip to Dublin for business and thought I would pop over to the H ;)

Is it fairly well stocked as of late? Hoping to see So Kelly, Pico MM/GM or Bolide 31/35. Friendly staff? And is it in the centre of town? Easily accessible by public transport? Haven't been to Dublin in five years so not sure about the best way to get around from the airport. Would appreciate advice. Thanks!

The Hermes in Dublin is located inside Brown Thomas department store on Grafton Street, near Trinity College. I was in within the past month, so can't share what current stock might be. When I was there, I saw some Jypsere, Evie, etc. Small choice of scarves. Nice feature of the new Dalliet china pattern.

Has anyone been to this store recently? How she it?

I was there just over a week ago. There was very little stock and everything I enquired about was unavailable. The SAs were very friendly and helpful though we did fine a few small items.

I've always done well th Dublin so like all H stores it's probably only a matter of timing and coincidence.

Good luck.

I love brown thomas in general. Make sure before you go, apply for brown thomas loyalty card (7 days they mail to US, or just apply for one when you are there) points are available to use next day ;). If you buy big price items, they add up quickly. price is about 25-30% cheaper compare w US (after Vat refund). I have been there 3 times in the last 9 months, unfortunately inventory is minimal (nothing I like) they do have good selection of clic clac, few cdc, shoes, and lots of scarf. Lots of orange bags when I was there but nothing I liked. I still do not know if this is client base shop where you stick with 1 SA or not but each time I came, I talked to different SA. Because almost every one stopped by asked for b k they are trained to give you answers already. 1st time I asked if there is waiting list So I can put my name down, no such thing, first come first serve. 2nd time I came, felt like there was a wait list, may be not in writing but I sensed there was some type of VIP list. 3rd time I didn't even asked, just purchase a belt set, a pair of shoes, cdc. They told me to ask each time I shop just in case they have shipment that day. Also, try to purchase everything in 1 Receipt, I received higher percentage of VAT refund with higher amount. Again not so sure the truth behind it but that was my experience. 12%-16% vat refund even though the store said about 18%

Thanks for the loyalty card advice. Never crossed my mind and I do get quite a bit of stuff there so it all adds up. Much appreciated!

A few years ago I did place a SO everyone was very helpful and kind but it did not come in as requested. The leather was the heavier Clemence rather than the lighter swift so I had to pass.

But the BT tax refund company does send you the refund and very fast too. Refunds from an unnamed company in the North never seem to arrive, now I make all my DF purchases in the South.

I got vat refund back 6 weeks after submitted. You passed on SO? No way... We submitted ours via the airport and they were responsive when I emailed them about the status of our refunds.

My refund is usually on the next cc bill. Once I misunderstood the limit and got a very nice letter with a form to take to a Justice of the Peace with my items. Sent it off and got my refund again on the next cc bill. Very impressed with Dublin airport DF, it's always my fave.

It was a jypserie and too heavy for me [emoji23] knew I'd never carry it as the business workhorse I needed. That's why I initially placed a so. Love swift but it's so hard to find.

The boutique did have a small swift pouchette on our last visit. It was quite different from my other swifts. Wondering it there is an ultra thin and lightweight version for SLGs now.

Lovely to see posts about 'my' H Store. The staff make the store, each member is special to me, after that comes the scarves and 70cms in particular but I hear chat that they are being phased out. I hope this is but a rumour and will check on my next visit Think this is my first post in 5 years.
