Influencers & VCA

I like Mirage a lot, she has a more genuine personality compared to other designer YT channels. I don’t mind that she does clickbait content, she wants to grow her channel so it’s understandable. StyleHard and other designer influencers just give me bad vibes, I just know they would treat me like dirt under their shoe because they own a Birkin. I think her owning a fake is okay if she’s transparent, but owning a fake to look like you have money is so bizarre to me. I do the opposite, I own VCA pieces and when people ask me where it’s from, I just say Kendra Scott because I don’t care if people think I own a dupe
Love that. You would rather they think it was fake. Kudos. Talking about not GAF.

It's ok to wear the same bags again and again. It just says that you are not a bag person and like collecting something else or you like your bags very much.

I would choose another boutique from brand if I don't feel comfortable shopping there.
I agree, a smaller collection just means a well loved collection. I buy my clothes from LilySilk because I want natural fibers, etc.

These SAs don’t deserve your business. I’ve gone into VCA carrying a dirty Northface backpack. If I heard that I would be in their face.
I agree. My husband tells me to not shop there because they talk badly about me and I’m still giving them business, and he’s right. But I just want to finish my collection…

I have had experience with Lilysilk and after the second purchase, I stopped and turned to a local department store for silk pyjamas because I live in Asia and I can trust the local department store. But for styles, maybe Lilysilk.

Ditto. I don't live near a VCA boutique so whenever I do stop by the boutique while visiting family members, I'm either carrying the Lululemon belt bag or a giant COS quilted bag (my SO joked that I'm wearing a pillow) The SA's have always treated me well regardless of what I wear.

I agree and she’s honest about SAs being rude and is like the average consumer instead of being snobby and thinking she’s better than other people. I wish more people would talk about rude SAs, because like her, I went into the store to pick up a bracelet and I overheard SAs talking about how I came in wearing the same bag. I’m not a bag collector, I own 3 designer handbags and that’s enough for me, my clothes are usually non-label and that’s okay.
This is heartbreaking and totally unacceptable. You're much better than me, I would have reported it.

As someone who once upon a time worked in retail sales, I can reassure everyone there is no functional purpose for judging customers wardrobes (or cars, or bags, etc). Even when the store is very busy. I was 16-17 yo out performing the sales of my colleagues with my life span in years of sales experience simply because I approached all customers and treated them with consideration regardless of what they had on or the car they showed up in. No excuses for these SAs! Bullying is not luxury.

I feel that they are judgmental because they feel that it’s the “luxury experience” and they can do it because they have clients who are bigger spenders. I try to not say anything, but I’ve tried to even change SAs because my assigned one is rude and it turned into drama within VCA somehow. It’s so weird!

Let me tell you why I don't think Mirage is credible (besides all her many click baits). She did one video where she was quick to bash VCA about the earrings being defective. Instead of doing her research or even just reaching out to a VCA Rep, she quickly made a video claiming how she's had 2 Vintage Alhambra earrings and they were all defective. Her definition of defective is the issue of the un soldered posts loosening up with use. Several people had to correct her in the comments section. For me, anyone who claims to love the brand wouldn't be so quick to bash it. I think she buys VCA for content and is the type that would probably sell her collection when all the hip hop stars stop wearing it.

Stylehard made a response video. I think it was right for her to address it. It sounds like husband purchased it for her resale and it did not go through a second round of authentication.

I like how she replied. It’s in line with how she communicates, in a very straightforward way. To me, she was sincere and eager to provide facts and receipts and admit what she did not know. Although I found the video from Mirage to be interesting and somewhat informative, (never thought about counting ridges on the guilloche) the tone felt gleefully spiteful and holier than thou. I’m glad Maytal spoke up quickly, honestly and showed that she cared about her reputation without being mean and vindictive.
