Looks great. I am Indian so have some stuff. But my pieces looks a bit different since I am from the eastern side of the country where the designs are mostly intricate gold work, without stones. I love the way you are looking in both the blue and the white dress.

Hey suchi..i am from eastern part too..from where you are?

Their gold is 22k so it’s 96.5% pure gold. In North America we are used to 10k and 14k. Even 18k is rare to see here. My wedding band and ering are also from India and are 18k because 22k can’t hold micropave diamonds. The orangy hue is the actual colour of almost pure gold.

My wedding set given by his family is also 22k necklace, 4 bangles and a big finger ring. (Also in safe deposit box).

Here you can see the necklace... same colour as it’s also 22k.

I've always said that Indian jewelry is the most regal stuff out there. Even Queen Elizabeth's crown has a bunch of stones and stuff pilfered from India (yes, i said it).
You are GORGEOUS, and your bridal outfit is perfection - that blue! Thanks for sharing!

Oh, that necklace is divine! And those bangles are amazing too! Such wonderful gifts!
And you look absolutely beautiful! :) Thank you for sharing!

I did not know that about American gold! I believe the gold used in Scandinavia is normally 14-18k! Earlier anything under 14k were not considered real gold, but for some reason they, around year 2000, decided to changed the amount for something to be called gold to 9k instead.

I don’t think this is accurate in the US. Perhaps there’s more 10k in Canada, but here you see low carat weights for children’s jewelry. All of my pieces are 18k except a few 14k semiprecious earrings.

Here in the UK, 9ct is almost the standard for solid gold. Many brands are phasing out their solid gold collections and replacing them with vermeil which I find really annoying actually, but even more annoying is the sneaky downgrading of purity. Dodo (pomellato) is an Italian brand I’m fond of: they have substituted 18 carat yellow for 9 carat rose so this is a pattern across Europe. I think they hope we won’t notice!

The Indian market is much more savvy about this kind of stuff.

Your pieces look beautiful on you OP!

I did not know that about pomellato. Is that a fact that their jewellery is now only 9 carat gold?
