In search of a watch

I have an anniversary coming up and was thinking of a watch. However, I really dont want to ask for anything more than 7500. I really wanted a gold watch but it just isnt justifiable. Any ideas for something classic-masculine style (I prefer a strap), no diamonds--everyday?

Have you considered any of the Hermes watches?
I love some of the JLC watches ( alligator strap) but cost might be a factor...haven't priced those lately.

I believe you can find a Cartier Tank solo with gold and a nice leather strap for less than that amount. Quite unisex in its styling.

JLCs are incredible but tend to run close to or above 10K.

yes--the thought of buying a quartz watch doesnt thrill me

oops, my mistake. Perhaps a visit to a store like Tourneau would help. Huge selection, many brands. I was thinking Rolex Yacht Master since you prefer non-quartz but I'm not sure why they go for these days. Good luck
