Does anyone have any experience in buying in selfridges London? I'm planning a trip to Selfridges for my birthday, with the intentions of buying the red soho disco. However, I also have the bag sat in my basket on their website. Which is the best way to buy? I'm torn between to soho disco and the small Marmont, so I feel that trying on would be advantageous, however, I'm loving the luxury gift wrap that comes from ordering online. If I buy from selfridges, am I likely the get it wrapped in tissue and tossed in a bag, or boxed up? Main reasons are for storage, but as this will be my first Gucci, I'd like it to be a nice shopping experience.

Love the disco, it's my favourite Gucci bag! And yes, it's hard to own just one - I started with the red disco and ended up getting a black one afterwards. Since then I've let go of a few other cross-bodies as the disco holds so much and works with so many outfits!

Not sure if you're still looking for an answer, but when I bought my first disco (black) it was from Selfridges London and it came wrapped in tissue, in a dustbag, inside of a Gucci bag. I ordered my second disco (red) direct from the Gucci website because I wasn't overly impressed by the experience in Selfridges and it was nice to have it arrive with the dustbag, inside a box, as well as with a carrier bag. No harm in going in store to try a few on and see what you like, but if you want the full works I'd order online or you may have to specifically request a box in store.
