my husband wouldn't ask for the ring back..we have much more expensive things to fight over.

we only really fight over in-laws, and he can have them back anyday!

I also have a friend who has been married for 3 years and her DH just takes the ring and doesn't tell her when they get in arguments....I think it's extremely stupid what does taking the ring accomplish?????

Absolutely not - I don't think it would even occur to him. And doing something like asking for it back is serious emotional blackmail - as Hautemama says about couples who threaten divorce, it's a kind of threat to ask for a ring back - just not on.

WOW...never. One friend of mine had that happen and she told the guy that when he gave it back after the fight the diamond better have doubled in size and quality.

About 4 years later she got her back and got a huge rock, and another side stone the size of her original solitaire in a 3-stone design in the process.

^yeah, my husband wouldn't dare...i don't have a big diamond, so he probably knows he would be on the hook for a big upgrade!

if he wanted to be spiteful, he'd take my laptop!
