tosh - oh yes, I wanted a pearl pendant and a Miu Miu wallet actually. And tennis bracelet should be bought around end of the year or next year. I'm still happy, just not as thrilled.

it's so pretty! 4 plus carets, wow, i'd be doing a happy dance in my heart. just don't take it for granted as many of us can't even come near to affording that, and just looking at the economy...luxury items are as stated: luxury. just go outside and have a look at your bracelet and have it dance in the sunlight, i'm sure that you'd be having a few happy dances then.

Verrrrrry pretty!!!

I've never though tennis bracelets were the most marvelous pieces of jewelry in the world, but yours may just have me change my mind!;)

Does anyone know why they are called tennis bracelets, btw??

:smile1: thanks, dear, for reminding me that I am a lucky girl. I do appreciate that I can afford to spend some money on myself and buy the things I like. Perhaps it's because of the guilt in me for buying this bracelet before its targeted date that stops me from making a few happy dances.

RaquelleBelle - thanks! I checked up wiki but not sure if it is an accurate explanation:-
"The in-line thin diamond bracelet that features a symmetrical pattern of diamonds is called a tennis bracelet. According to Diamond Bug, in 1987 Chris Evert, the former World No. 1 woman tennis player and the winner of 18 Grand Slam singles titles, was playing in the U.S. Open. She was wearing an elegant, light in-line diamond bracelet, which accidentally broke and the match was interrupted to allow Chris to recover her precious diamonds. The 'tennis bracelet' incident sparked a new name for the item and sparked a huge jewelry trend. Tennis bracelets continued to be worn by various tennis stars like Serena Williams and Gabriela Sabatini."
