the paddy! i do love the gaucho but like amanda said, it's sort of greenish. the whiskey color is stunning, though.

I saw the Brown Gaucho this weekend. I didn't like the color at all! It was a dark green moss like color.

The paddy is also roomier (unless you get the double saddle).

I'd go paddy.

I'm with the majority: Paddy! I've never been so in love with a bag and I think the Gaucho is a one season thing and then it'll dissappear into the bag-nirvana. Just my opinion.

tough choice, especially since i have the medium gaucho in white and the paddy in brown. i love them both but must say i love my paddy more. good luck.

i would go with the whiskey paddy..it is beautiful,larger and versatile.

I agree about the paddy being less of just a "trend" thing, although i do love the gaucho!
I'm so back and forth on this it's crazy! lol.

Just last night my husband says "I'd get the one with the belt and big buckle! That's the coolest bag you've ever shown me!"

I'd go with the one that you want. I have both and I like them both for different reasons. I have the gaucho in brown and mine is not dark green....it's brown. I've seen variations in the colors with my own eyes, so I suggest looking at it before you buy. I think it's a neat bag and I live in the West, so it will always be "in" for me. The paddy is nice, but it's heavy and slouchy...sometimes that annoys me. I think they're both "trendy" bags....JMO......so go with what YOU love. YOU will be carrying it.

I would take the paddy as well The gaucho just looks super trendy and you'll probably like the paddy more in the long run.

I say the gaucho b/c IMO I think the paddy was in more last year and the gaucho is a new style for this season, there will be more new style bags that will be coming out for the next season and so on....and even though the paddy is a great looking bag I think it so many people have it from 2005 and should try something different.......Both bags are beautiful but I would rather go with a white or red gaucho instead of the brown...You should pick the ONE that You like!!!!Good Luck

Paddy...especially if you want to use the bag for a while. Gaucho longevity is yet to be determined... (and the paddy styling is more classic IMO).

The Gaucho is the nicer looking bag but isn't brown - it is a khaki green. I think the Paddington is now a bit of a "has been". I'd definitely get the Gaucho - burgundy or white though.

hi, i'km new to this thread.
i just wanted to say that i would choose the gaucho.
of all the dior bags, this one seems the least "gimmicky"
ok, so there is a western theme, but it's done tastefully.
the paddington's lock turns me off. plus i believe its heavier than the gaucho - can someone verify that?
