Hey ladies!

Well I am currently the highest bidder on a LV bag from japan but they are saying they dont pay custom taxes...I am from the US...would that be a problem for me? would I have to pay?

There have been instances of items shipped INTL into US being charged customs. I have paid customs ONCE on a bag shipped from UK. Bag was $750, shipped via fed-ex, customs & brokerage fee was about $78.
I have NEVER been charged customs on any bags shipped into US via USPS.

But, DO BE AWARE, that there is always a risk of a customs fees on "imports", and those are the buyer's responsibility.

EMS would go to USPS in the US.

there is no guarantee you won't get assessed Customs duty. You are essentially importing an item, and it is a chance. So figure that into your bid. If you don't think it's worth possibly paying an import tax, then don't buy from Japan.

yeah, I've been told a lot of people buy from china and japan and never pay customs...but who cares...at this point someone bid against me and its way too much over my budget now :crybaby: I feel like crying :(

Thanks anyways ladies

I can empathize how you feel since I was down in the dumps the first time I lost out to a higher bidder. But usually something as good or even better shows up on Ebay at a lower price in short order.

I had this very same experience. Just once. From the UK. Shipped the same method.
