FP=full-price. made for the boutique & sold for the MSRP listed on the tag.

MFF= made for factory. Bags that were made to be sold in the coach factory outlet stores. These bags were never sold in boutiques. The outlet puts a "MSRP" on the tag, but they were never intended to be sold at that price.

FP deletes- FP boutique bags sold at the outlet for a discounted price.

Thank you so much! Now I don't feel so lost lol

As far as I know the bennett was always a factory bag, it is a nice bag though and if your happy with it no worries.

Also often full price bags after they have run their coarse have turned into factory versions only, borough and Phoebe as mentioned are two examples, there is also a swagger like bag and a Ryder type bag called Mickie.

I don't know of a database of sorts for the MFF bags but most here know what they are and when they came out, if you check the creed # and the letter F is what it begins with for the second set of numbers it is a made for factory bag.

Oh ok! Thank you so much! :) yeah I initially fell in love with the stanton because of all the compartments!!! But.. with bills and Christmas coming it just wasn't in the budget. I couldn't leave without this bennett though ♡ lol it was too good of a deal!

Wait can you clarify the difference between factory fp, mff bags? I'm kinda confused /:

Hi~~

Welcome to the Craziness of Coach...

Full Price.. is FP delete from the Coach stores or Boutiques as some people call them..
Usually Coach will bring out new styles about every 3 months or so ... it seems to be a lot more quickly lately.. so they send some FP styles to the outlets to sell at a greater discount like 40 or 50% off or in days of old.. even more of a discount..

Lately, Coach has been saving most of FP delete bags and selling them on the Factory Online Sales.. (FOS) ... which you have to be invited to.. (That may have changed to)

MFF bags are Made For Factory .. outlet... the leather is lesser quality than from Full Price Coach.. though the MSRP... regular price is the same.. the outlet will just mark it down more or on "sale"

It appears Coach is trying to promote the outlet more and more so they will copy some of the FP bags.. like Phoebe, Borough, Rhyders and such.

Coach used to have a creed patch on the inside of each bag... which was a a letter followed by numbers and then a hyphen with a 5 digit style number... to distinguish which was from a Full Retail vs.. Outlet.. outlet bags would have an F in front of the style number (last 5 digits after the hyphen)

Example... L0793-11423 is from Full Retail...

MFF would have L07-F11423 on the Creed patch...

Within the last couple of years... Coach has deleted the numbers on the creed patch and sewn a tag inside pocket of both FP and MFF bags..with style numbers. (I believe due to the high amount of Fake bags that are being made and sold. )

Also, when the outlet makes a MFF bag that is a similiar copy to Full Retail like Phoebe, Rhyder or Borough.. they will give it another line name...

I hope this helps...

This was super helpful! Hm, so how can I tell the difference from a fp bag going to outlets vs mff bags?

I could tell there was a difference between the bags I saw at Macy's vs Outlets...but still, both are great quality for the price you pay so I'm not complaining at all. I just wish I never stopped buying coach bags because it seems like so much has changed in the last x amount of years that it's hard for me to keep up with it all. Coach has really stepped their game up. I know a lot of ppl are complaining about the quality (I have no idea about quality because I haven't paid full price for a bag......yet at least lol.) But style wise.... it's more my style (I'm 25) love it so far..

The ace satchel is freaking beautiful but I can afford it right now.

Ah, I'm on a rant right now sorry.. back to the topic at hand

When I want to look up MFF items or see what their recent selling prices have been, I go to http://coach.tingtingchen.com and enter the item number (the part after the dash that starts with F followed by numbers) in the search box. I have never bought from this site, and my understanding is that it may not be recommended. It's a good idea to get purchases that aren't made directly from Coach authenticated in the "Authenticate This Coach" thread in the shopping section.

Cool site! Found the style of my bag, not the same color but everything matches. Can I ask, my SA never gave me the tag for my bag all I have from it is just the gift receipt and care card, how can I find out the creed? I'll take a picture of mine in the morning it literally doesn't have any code numbers /: it looks like I didn't even buy it from the Napa store lol thank you so much for the info.! It's helping a lot ♡

The numbers are now sewn inside the zipper pocket in the lower left corner. You have to turn the pocket inside out to find it.

How did the price tag get removed from the bag?

About the leather patch, that sucks! I like the look of the numbers on the creed, made it look legit imo. Not a deal breaker though

Also, I'm not sure! There were 3 on the display shelf and I don't think any of them had tags attached. I did notice that when we went to pay she took something from out of the zipper pocket and never put it back, instead she replaced whatever it was with care cards. I'm thinking she thought we wouldn't need the price tag? Idk though? Very weird to shop at the outlets because I felt like I wasn't getting the full experience. But again, not a deal breaker I freaking love my bag and I think I'm gonna save for the stanton carryall... oops here's another long rant sorry lol

Hi~
Usually the outlet will give a different style name to their bags so you can know the difference.. between FP and MFF... also when a FP delete goes to the outlet, the outlet will put them on a table or shelf... usually back towards the register.

If you have a chance and live close to a FP Coach store... just go in and browse.. you can usually tell the difference between the quality of FP and outlet..

(Older style bags like Sabrina, Sophia and the Legacy styles still have the creed with the style number on the inside of the bag)

P.S. I liked the Ace Satchel and bought the Green one.. I returned it because it doesn't open wide... great to have double zippers but kind of a pain to get in and out of...

I see...interesting,I'm gonna take another look today. I live by 2 outlets one in Vacaville and another in Napa. Would Macy's section of Coach be considered FP? I know right now they're having a sale for black Friday but I saw the swagger bag there and it definitely looked pristine compared to some of the bags on that were apart of the sale. I could be wrong though. Thank you Lynne! Yeah I notice with the bigger Bennett satchel it wasn't a wide enough opening to be able to fit as much as you can in there so I stuck with this one. Sorry to hear about the ace having that problem! Hopefully they re design it to open further I love that style bag...

Hi~~
Yes, Macys, Dillards, Bloomingdales and other Department stores sell the Full Price bags from Coach... mostly the basic ones.. Usually the higher priced Coach bags can only be purchased through the Coach store.. With the Dept. stores.. they have a buyer for Coach so any Coach bag is actually purchased for the dept. store.. The store then can mark it on sale or down in price as fast as they want..

It is a change that many do not like(creed # being removed) but it is what it is. If it was a display it may of ended up coming off. Really not a big deal, the outlets are not as 'full service' as boutiques but my bags have always been packed nicely tho.

I tend to scour the factory stores for boutique items but those have definitely become more scarce in the last few months.

I think you also asked about dust bags... for Coach...Only Full Price have the dust bags...
Outlet bags don't ... plus sometimes the FP delete bags that come to the outlet are "missing" the dust bags as well. I have been told that the FP stores take the dust bags out before they ship the deletes to the outlet..
I have gone into a FP store and asked for a dust bag... the SAs are nice and will give you one..
