He proposed!!!!

So thank you everyone who really helped out and special thanks to Kohl, Contessa, Ame, SK, and Lec....

As you all know, my package with my ring arrived this morning and I was anxiously wanting to open it but behaved myself knowing that it was super important to the BF (now Fiance!) that he was able to propose on his own without me ever seeing the ring...

So I left it as is and went abouts my ways thinking about that ring and when I'll get to slip it onto my finger.... we get home from dinner and I see a Tacori box on the bed. I scamper over and open it and THIS is what I see...

By this time, our bed is so high that I'm sitting on the edge of the bed and I realize that there is something rather hard I'm sitting on.... It's a scrapbook i've made of all our memories together in the first year that we've been together.... and on the very last page he had a sticker of a diamond ring and the date.

I really thought he was just playing with me and going to let me just check the ring to see if it's what I liked... then I read the date and saw that it was today's date!!! And then of course he proposed on one knee... and of course I said yes!

Also, it's EXACTLY 18 months from our official dating anniversary. We dated longer before that but it was never "official" as a couple and we didn't have a name to us.

arnott - yay!! I'm loving my stone! h&a shine so beautifully! We didn't intend on it being a Canadian stone but the more we learned about it, the more we really like it that it is.

AHHHHH I'm late to the party!!! I was so not expecting this, so when I saw this thread, I got so excited! And then when I opened the link and scrolled down and saw the pic of the gigantic ring in the Tacori box, I had to do a double take - I wasn't sure what I was seeing! I was expecting your ring but seeing that one instead made my head whirl LOL. I'm so happy for you dear!! You must be sooo happy, and what a sweet and thoughtful proposal! Not quite the epic poem I was going for, but it's close enough :P It looks BEAUTIFUL on your hand, like it was made to be there! Congrats, congrats, congrats!! :yahoo:

vivian, lisa - Thank you! I love the ring and can't wait to have it firmly on my finger!

jmae - Thank you! I LOVE your Tacori. Your ring was drop dead gorgeous before the setting and then with the setting it is jaw dropping! And the yellow diamond is something from a dream!

kohl -haha. I didn't expect it either. When I first saw the huge one my thought was... "you really want to die today don't you!" (in reference to him) haha.... I was thinking he would give it to me to inspect and then lock it away.... But then the date was today's date and then my face :shocked: I also think he knew each day that went by he would have to up his game.. haha. He did a good job throwing me off though because i was NOT at ALL expecting it tonight.
