I have been in love with sngsk's Ottone Sloane from the moment she revealed it. The color is exactly what I have been looking for. I am sad that it is discontinued.

Here is what I am confused about: I look on eBay, and they use the word "Ottone" to describe bags that are not this color. For example, there is a black bag described as "Bottega Veneta Ottone Zip Tote Black Handbag" and a gold bag described as "Bottega Veneta OTTONE Goatskin Gold Leather FLAP Clutch"

I thought Ottone was the color name? I am soooo confused...lol :confused1:

Ranag - Ottone is the Italian word for Brass. It is a color. The first seller is clueless. The clutch that miss_fancybags has IS Ottone...better grab it! :graucho:

there were different ottone colors. i think there was ottone- like the sloane and cabat color and then some slg's in an ottone with a green tint and one with a purple tint and of course the regular ottone. i forget the exact names. hth-

Ranag, when I first came on this sub forum, there was a lot of talk about Ottone. Ottone this, ottone that... Many pictures and it looked different in each photo... I'm not a gold person, so I just didn't get it...
Until... my GF got an Ottone Sloane and had it shipped to me so I could forward to her in Asia, OMG :faint::wtf::drool: Ottone CANNOT be captured by a camera :nono: it is BV's most beautiful color! Now I 'get it'!
If you find a bag in Ottone, GRAB IT! You will not regret it.

Thank you LT ;) I do not consider myself a gold person either (until I bought the Illusion bag which was very unusual for me), but Ottone is really starting to fascinate me.

Do the outlets ever get Ottone pieces? I would love to see it in person.

I really have been looking for a green bag for a while now. I keep looking through the green color reference and like the more muted greens (not dark green) for BV bags. I would have even liked the Plume in a bright green, but no such luck.

Right, Ottone, Parma Chevre (aka purple ottone), and the Ottone with green undertones (official name?). I think the two colors were 2008 Resort pieces.
