ignoring resale value/potential: what bags have you bought solely based on love?

I purchased my YSL Sunset years ago in Paris and it was probably the only designer item I ever bought without caring about future resale value. I had my eye on it for close to a year before I decided to buy and haven't regretted it since. I've worn it on so many different occasions and it still looks amazing and have no desire to sell it (I would lose money on it anyway haha).

All. Most recently the YSL Le 5 a 7. It doesn't help that I mostly like bags with poor resale value. But can't help it - I'm a Saint Laurent girl through and through.

I already have the YSL Sunset in black and silver hardware but I still have the black in black hardware rent-free in my mind. Might pull the trigger for that next. Just really worried about the black hardware chipping.

Future resale value is often at the back of my mind when I'm buying, but I would say that my love for the BV chain pouch and the Fendi Peekaboo outweighed any potential loss of money. My Chloe bags (Faye and small Daria) and Stella McCartney Frayme crossbody aren't worth much in the resale market, but I adore them all and have zero regrets.

All of them! I know that they'll all drop in value (except Chanel and Hermes), but it's okay, because I love or loved them when I bought them.

On the other hands, there are bags that I have not bough due to depreciation value alone. There are just some brands that I just cannot bring myself to buy at full price because of how significantly they drop in price the moment they are bought and walked out of the store:
- Burberry
- Dior
- Alexander McQueen
- Fendi (mainly the peekaboo)
