If you were to start now, what would be your first VCA piece?

YG MOP 5 motif bracelet.

BUT my first piece was YG VA pendant in MOP and I don’t regret it. I don’t wear it as much now, but it is the first fine jewelry piece my then boyfriend bought me. I remember thinking “what! Over $2,000 for a necklace?? Are people crazy??” And look at me now, haha!

Like everyone else said, get whatever you love. Whatever it is, you will love it because it will be meaningful to you.

To circle back on this, if I were the start over, my first piece would be a 5 motif hammered yellow gold bracelet and not a MOP vintage alhambra necklace that I got as my first piece. The hammered gold is very low maintenance and you never have to take it off or be afraid to get it wet like the ones with stones--especially malachite.
