Agreed with all the above. From my personal experience - Chanel will offer you a repair (not a discount), should you choose to keep the one with damage. If the local repair services your Chanel boutique uses unable to address the issue/repair, they would have to send the bag to Paris for repairs and given today’s realities it might take some time (with lockdowns, etc). Furthermore, even if they do send the bag for repairs in Paris, there is no guarantee that the bag will be repaired as it is a seasonal colour (material/colour must be available).
