If you have the EVA Clutch-in Damier or Monogram, do you still wear it?

My 2 Eva bags are in the cupboard for many years and I haven’t use them for long times. The chain really annoy me because it is not detachable and it will make noise when walking. To me, the zip end look ugly as it is longer than the bag and it connects to the strap directly. The strap is also too long for me and is not adjustable, making the bag swing a lot when walking. The big metal plate in the DE is too big too shiny and easy to get scratch, consider the small size of the bag. Although it is spacious but I found it is not easy to organise, small things will just end up in the other part of the bags. May be the zip is a little too long, it is quite trouble to zip up the bag without using both hands. Eva still looks lovely if ignore the zip end part. I probably will not buy Eva these days given there are many similar bags LV and other brands can choose from. In the old days, LV have much limited bags range.

Just a quick point about the chain as there have been a few mentions. I don’t have an Eva but do have a Favorite which also has the chain. I detach it from one end, run it through the bag inside and reattach it. It still annoying being inside but less so as it doesn’t make any noise and bounce around. I also detach one end of the chain on my mini pochettes and leave it inside. I never really use the chains but can’t bring myself to permanently remove them!

Same for me with Eva and travel - such a great travel bag, and is compact enough to even be worn under a winter coat (e.g. in crowded places). Question, however, on traveling with a Speedy (and sorry to digress, since this is an Eva thread) -- do you fold to pack?
I don’t fold. I’m not opposed to folding but find that I’m usually able to fit it into my carry-on, OR I put it inside my neverfull

I just bought one in DE this summer and absolutely love it! Although they’re not too difficult to find on the pre-loved market, it is harder to find one in excellent condition since they’re an older style. The first one I purchased from Fashionphile, but I sent it back as I wasn’t in love with the quality when I received it. The second one I sourced from Japan — they have the best pre-loved luxury stocks IMHO. Mine was made in 2009 and was barely used; there is no way you would be able to tell she’s 13 years old.

The Eva is truly such a versatile little bag; I don’t see myself ever selling her, even years from now. Also, the quality of the canvas feels sooo much better IMHO than that of the 2022 MPA and Nano Speedy I bought this year.

The only thing I don’t love is the non-adjustable strap since I’m short. I didn’t lik threading the original strap through the bag to shorten it, so I purchased a dupe that works well and looks authentic.

I would deff consider purchasing the monogram and DA versions in the future if I can find them in similarly excellent quality!

Can you share the source from Japan?

I got it second hand and did not fall in love with.

I found the width is too large and hence difficult to wear crossbody.
It was dangling on my hips when walking.
So I decided to sell it.
