So it was my 30th birthday this weekend. DH surprised me with a blue box, with the biggest blue pouch I've seen.....

I'm not sure I love it.... It's really nice, and I'm so flattered that DH went out and got it all on his own... but what else could I have gotten for that kind of money? There is nothing that I MUST have right now.... so just looking for ideas from you girls...

Hrm that necklace is nice but in my opinion Tifffany's isn't really known for their pearls. With that kind of money I'd want something sparkly. Maybe a diamonds by the yard necklace or bracelet?

Its a beautiful necklace and it is really sweet that DH went and bought it for you all on his own. He must have bought it because he thinks it suits you and you will look beautiful wearing it! Id keep it and love it!

It might help if I tell everyone what I have in my collection....

1. Heart tag chain bracelet with initals engraved on heart
2. Heart tag chain with toggle necklace with initials engraved on heart
3. Elsa Peretti medium floating heart on 18"
4. Elsa Peretti medium bean on 18"
5. 1837 T&CO hoop earrings, ring, and cuff
6. Large silver crown key 2.5", on 30" oval chain
7. Silver bead earings, necklace and bracelet, 10mm.
8. twist knot earrings in silver
9. RTT silver oval tag bracelet and necklace
10. pearl stud earrings in silver, 8-9mm

I've got the 3.9mm half circle channel set band...in platinum.

He knows I like classy looks, and I've always loved pearls. I've ordered a strand from Jasper late last year, so I feel like this is similar, but totally different with the toggle.

I don't know, should I keep it? It's nice, but I want to be sure I love it since it is over $1K...

Also, since it's a milestone birthday, I wanted just one thing...something special, to mark the occasion.

I have this necklace along with the matching bracelet and the pearl stud earrings I really love it! The toggle makes it chic and different. I agree the price is a bit steep and maybe not worth it but since it was a gift so you should just enjoy it!

Exactly my thoughts. I feel the same way about Tiffany's freshwater pearls. You can go to a jewelry store that specializes in pearls and get the same quality or better for a few hundred dollars (less than $200 in China). As for the silver, although Tiffany is well known for their exquisite work on silver jewelry, silver itself is relatively inexpensive. Thus, I think you way overpaid. A Tiffany diamond-by-the-yard is a different story. Even if Tiffany is generally overpriced, I still think it is the way to go. Great idea.
