If you found out your favorite bag was fake, would you still love it and wear it?

No, I wouldn't love the handbag anymore and it would lose its "favourite" status. Then I would have to cut it up or destroy it before disposal. I'd also feel embarrassed that I didn't know its true identity, and feel financially cheated since I got duped by the store/seller.

The silver lining is, I would then select another "favourite" from my collection...

It happened to me years (15+) ago, with 2 bags that I had purchased online. I used and loved both bags, but as soon as I found out that they were fake (through tpf), I stopped using them. Just the thought of them - and the money I’d spent - made me see red. A few years back I donated them to a thrift shop, and like other posters, I wrote FAKE/REPLICA on the inside of the bags to avoid any confusion. I have no problem carrying an non-branded bag, but a fake - nope.

I wouldn’t love it as much because its a dupe. I would be pissed off if I paid a good amount of money on it and finding out it was fake. Most likely give it away to a friend or someone I knew who would like it and wear it.

Well, let me just say that finding out your Ugg bag (no offense to OP) is fake is one thing. Some of our threads have bags that are valued in the 10's of thousands of dollars so I don't see it as a question that's relevant to all folks. A lot of people do a hell of a lot of research before an investment bag is purchased/worn *shrug* anyhow, that's my 2c.

Great question. I'd be upset if I found out, but that would be an ego response--I'd hate that I'd been duped. Would I feel bad for the brand or like I needed to discard the bag on its behalf? No. I don't think any bag is actually worth more than $1K, and I've had everything I've bought authenticated, so if something turned out to be a fake, it'd be a really good fake. What good would it do to throw it away? It would still be a beautiful piece of craftsmanship IMHO.
